Soappie - tomorrow will be fine, stop worrying!!
I'm trying to stop worrying but not succeeding much. Furniture is now moved away from the windows and rug is rolled up so all is ready. But, we have a monsoon proportioned rain shower at the moment and I am living in a waterfall again (really MUST remember to clear the gutters - Pigpen - can you put that on a weekend list soon please?)I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Evening everyone,
I took a wrong turnand basically forgot to do the lounge - however I have:
had a long discussion with ds about the boy/girl ratio in our house and explained that you can't choose which flavour you get  and you also can't put girls in the bin  He had me feeling so sorry for him that we had to make an orange sponge traybake with chocolate icing
Then I sorted/folded/put away all the clean laudry on the DR table.
Paired loads of socks and put in their homes - however I still seem to have 3/4 full sock drawer (where they all go to be paired - with teeny tiny socks in - so I guess that could do with a clear out)
Bathed/dried/and put the little people to bed (this took from 6pm - 9.15pm) dd2 had a cat nap today  so didn't want to sleep tonight.
S&S Bathroom & kitchen.
I threw in a HHI for good measure and am just off to do another and make sure I have everything ready for the morning.
Soappie - Everything will go smoothly tomorrow!!!
I guess I should say good night now - I need to get to sleep early as there isn't a hope of the kids waking up without a serious amount of prodding in the morning (wonder where they get that from?) Lounge and kitchen aren't too bad so I should be able to haul them up to scratch in no time tomorrow *fingers crossed*

Good luck for tomorrow, Soappie, tho I'm sure everything will go just fine! And just think of the wonderful end result
(Is it only going to take one day??)

I killed my SC with the soup last night, so I'm hoping there will be a good sale on this weekend so I can buy a new one!If there is to be any peace, it will come through being, not having - Henry MillerM.A.C.A.W Member . . Wannabe Flybaby0 -
Hot buttered toast and a cup of tea - is there anything more satisfying just before bedtime (that doesn't involve an exchange of bodily fluids!)?
I'm calm now ladies, thankyou for your assurances. But of course, you all know you'll be the first ones I blame when everything goes wrong......I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Well it looks like I will just have the dailies to do tomorrow as did the kitchen today,
.
Though I may do DS room tomorrow as it is a right tip. I'm sure he is the reincarnation of stig of the dump:think:
Also have a job application to fill in and need to go the shop for milk. If I've got time I want to go and get some pots for the garden. Though this relys on managing to get DS to come with me, nightmare:o
Dailies
S&S kitchen
S&S living room
S&S bathroom
Empty bin
Washing X2

:hello: to rach/michelle/shell/tia/lilme and pigpen to name just a few, so apologies if I missed you, memories not so good with the old age creeping up :rotfl:
Just been watching the celebrations in Hull Pigpen, looks like a great day with a brilliant atmosphere
Had a bit of a slow start to the day as had a couple of errands to run which took longer than anticipated, as was in Morrisons when an elderly bloke collapsed. I dont mean to be unkind but the staff and firstaider were very young and didnt have a clue so I offered to help until the ambulance crew arrived. It was actually one of my old workmates who turned up on the bike first so I stayed with him in case the poor guy went off before the truck got there (he had a very weak and slow pulse rate). He was a sweet old boy bless him and really appreciated me staying to help with his poor wife as well, (she was in a wheelchair) until their son could come and collect her. So that was my good deed for the day.
Then having found a merchants chest at a really good price that would be perfect for my bedroom found it was discontinued so need to look again now.
Came back and got stuck in to my list
Level One
[strike]Open the windows and turn on some music[/strike]! - done except the music as OH was on nights
Wipe and water the plants- forgot this one
[strike]Declutter the chairs, floor and fireplace[/strike] - twice in both living rooms
Level Two
[strike]Vacuum the floor now it is visible[/strike] - twice - both rooms
Wash any throws/curtains/cushion that need freshening up - need to do the ones from main living room sometime this week
[strike]Clean any glass.. pictures, windows, mirrors etc[/strike] - did this in both rooms including door glass but not outside windows
Level Three
[strike]Vacuum under any furniture you can[/strike].. did this twice - both rooms
[strike]Wipe sofas and dusty places [/strike]- hoovered all 4 sofas chair and footstool and dusted in both rooms
[strike]HHC in the hallway.. sort those coats and shoes and mess!! [/strike]- did this too, cleared the clutter and hoovered
Extras- [strike]Vacuum AAALLLLLL the way up the stairs [/strike]- swept and wiped down AAAAAlllll the way down
- [strike]Binbag dance... grab a bag fill it and fling it![/strike] - flung the old newspapers but thats all there was
- [strike]Spend 15 minutes tackling a hotspot!![/strike] - none in these rooms
- [strike]Wipe the woodwork in these areas [/strike]- windowsills done but not skirtings
Tea cooked, munched and cleared away then me and the girls made peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies, but I cant eat themas I used ordinary flour, not that there'll be many left by morning the way DD has magiced them away.
Well I reckon I need a cuppa then bed anyone want one while the kettles on :coffee:
See you all bright and early tomorrow
Kaz xMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Argh busy day, not had chance to pop in, hope you are all ok ((squishy hugs for all)) Sorry to those southern peeps being bashed with rainy weather but it's been VERY warm here, in fact sitting here sweating with the windows open, makes a change we get some of the nice stuff
part of the busy was helping DP do the front garden, he's cut away some of the overgrown grass, didn't know those paving slabs were as long :rotfl: not like him to help in the garden so made the most of it. Back still needs doing of course but front looks loads better (worry of being offered lawnmower to borrow eliviated!)
Happy Birthday (sorry a bit late) serena!!! Hope you had a wonderful day.
**Bonus mention for Kaz** well done girl! I share your first aider concerns after doing mine with youngsters who had no idea, got embarrassed with the CPR etc etc, ggrrr!
Hopefully catch you all at some point tomorrow, DS2s OT (bike riding course) on in the morning so will likely be on the afternoon, however I have been a good girl getting organised and the bike is in the car ready
Night night xxxOne day I might be more organised...........

Morning all
Got up because I woke up then couldn't get back to sleep, went to the bathroom and then promptly threw up :o so I'm gently sipping a cup of tea to see'f it settles the stomach. Normally I would go back to bed but if I do that, I'll probably oversleep and still be in my nightie when the builders turn up about 8.30 which wouldn't do!
I shall save any flying until after it's all done - little point in dusting and wiping anything when brick dust is going to be flying!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
