I did too, it was blinkin freezing. Gave them a wave and a cheer and have been listening to it on BBc radio Humberside.

I know they're doing fireworks, not sure when though.

    Great news for the city.:T:T:T:T:j:j:j:j:j:j

Where were you? We were outside the bevvy.. I usually only go there for a fight but I was quite civilised today.. I was just complaining last week noone here lives near me!!

My oldest sprog was right at the front at city hall.. he said he was picked on by the radio homicide presenters who originally thought he had a Deano mask on then realised he didn't!!! LMAO!!

The fireworks are in Queens gardens tonight but are being held all over by all accounts..

    Hi

My updated list. I think Ds2 definitely has got chicken pox he has loads more spots. He doesn't seem to be too bothered by them though. I have got loads to do tommorrow out of the house as well. I won't be able to now. I'll have to send Ds1 to do most of it;)

    Hiya
I'm in but am about to go to bed to recover from the last two days. 6 hours yesterday and 8 hours today at the allotment. It's looking fab and we've given our children their own section each so they've planted lots and decorated it with stones and slate and bits. Hope everyone's had a great weekend. Hugs to all.

I havent done anything today :p I'm making the most of DD being home and went out for a few walks. I've just spent the last 45 minutes painting DD's fingernails babypink and attaching little pink stars to them (4 coats of varnish!!! thank goodness I have some of that quick dry spray ;) ) and painting her toenails bright glittery red  Hoping to go to bed at 9pm as I'm exhausted. I don't think I'll get much in the way of flying done this week but I don't mind.

I managed to get some of my TMA done though - I got my essay plan sorted, now I just need to write the essay  The deadline is Middnight Friday as long as all goes to plan so I need to get it done ASAP!!!

Thank you for all the birthday cakes and wishes!

It's been an odd day, as the weather has been awful, raining pretty much all day, and hardly bothered to get light, so no going out anywhere as we usually do. I actually spent an hour flying in the kitchen to Level three, as I had enough of sitting around! It's also been strange not having a phone call or card and present from Mum. I didn't get over there yesterday as planned, but will go tomorrow instead.

The children bought me a very lovely gold chain. I lost one several years ago, and have never replaced it, although I had said that I would get a new one when I got a job - now I can get something else instead!

pigpen - very sorry to hear your sad news.

Welcome to Scared1980 (were you scared then? Or are you still scared now?? )
    Gemish, primowino, and evilspartacus:hello:

michelle - I have had that too - and although it's not a suggestion that you'll get from a breastfeeding counsellor, I used nipple shields for a few days until the cracks had healed up. I didn't find it caused any problem with the milk supply, or for the babay, and it meant that I could carry on feeding both DD and DS2 until they were over a year. An adjustment in positioning can often be helpful, in prevention, but I needed to stop the excruciating pain for the first few minutes of a feed. I also had mastitis, and feeding until that side was as empty as possible, was the solution that worked for me - even if it meant that DD was too full, and 'bubbled over'! I only needed to do it for a day or two, and it didn't seem to affect the milk supply too drastically.
