many mistakes then and i am grateful to ppl posting comps but its easy to do a search aint it

tis easy to search, but the search facility don't always play ball as stated here in the comping guide ;)

And if the comp is only a few minutes/hours old it will not show up in the search as it will not have updated yet.

I completely agree with you with what you're saying here. Alongside the £2008 for 2008 I also set myself the challenge of trying to get all the xmas pressies I'd need for this year, I think I have 2 left to win for and I've also been fortunate enough to cover most of the birthdays we've had to buy for this year as well.

Some sort of target where every prize is wanted would be really good for next year

I started doing £2008 for 2008, but have given up as so many folks are just entering to bump totals up (or so it seems) I have changed my personal goal to 'win christmas' but am not doing anywhere as well as you! Well unless I could give the kids some fish food (runners up prize - wanted the fish tank! ) :rotfl:

    Well done!

I dont usually join this thread but Duplicate posts have just got the better of me today, you can understand new posters missing the odd one on a search but there comes a limit:mad:

I think those who use the site regularly spot duplicate posts fairly easily but its the people who log occasionaly and are fairly new but have to get through 10 or more pages of comps everyday in one hit that may enter a comp twice and disqualify themselves. We are all here to help each other and it seems a shame certain people dont think of this before posting.

Rant over :D Off for a cuppa before the comping night shift.

I just might have to come back here to see if (how many peps) i touch with my occassional post
    Thoughts:

The surest sign that there is intelligent life in the universe is that they haven't contacted us yet:D

I may be speaking as an outsider here, but I much prefer seeing a new comper make a bit of effort to post a comp, even if it's a dupe, rather then not even attempting to give something back. If they've searched properly (by that I mean URL and at least 2 sets of keywords) it's really not their fault...

Disclaimer: This does not mean I support posters who don't bother to search at all - I agree, that IS annoying! And it also does not mean that I underestimate the work of the board guides - I'm well aware you all have better things to do then spend all day merging comps, so I don't blame you for getting irritated sometimes! ;) xxx

    Hiya happy1234 :hello:

It depends on the comp itself as different comps do different things. If you haven't already, I really recommend you have a look through the Comping Guide.

It answers your question in the Winning Section, items 1 - 3 :)

Good luck & I hope the prizes are turning up & you are being notified of wins very soon :)
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out
