Can anyone help me with a question from my local paper? It's a cut out entry form so I can't post it, but the question is:

What is the name given to the exams pupils take, in their last year at school?

I'm wondering if it's a trick question, could be A'levels or GCSE's depending on which way you look at it

    Anyone got a clue?

I would think it was GCSE as at our local school this is the time when they leave, leavers ball and all that and then they have to apply to go into 6th form (year 12 and 13 I think) or whatever its called nowadays to do their AS and A2s. Sorry if im wrong though.

I thought so too, but then noticed the paper is full of stories about A'level results.

Hi Judy, I've been entering all the time with a hotmail address too! Where does it say on their site that they don't accept Hotmail? Do you have a hyperlink? I never knew/was not aware of this. Cheers.

    Do they accept live.co.uk addresses?!
Also , is their a reason why some comps ask for a postcode but not your address? I hate to sond cynical but is it to weed out certain areas?

don't know what emails they accept for the itv comps, but shouldn't matter as they contact by phone anyway.

As for postcode if may be a data collection thing, to find out which areas are watching the show (perhaps they have had entries from folks who can't receive the show - I'm not sure of the coverage), but if you are concerned then don't fill it in as it's not a compulsary field.

GMTV don't accept hotmail when you register - possibly cos hotmail rejects the newsletter as spam (or so say a lot of sites)

But as you don't have to register to enter the £5k comp then it shouldn't matter what email you use - especially as they contact by phone.

  • When I registered for GMTV they wouldn't accept my hotmail address either, but they will accept googlemail ones, hth.

Anyone else noticed that at the moment all the myfilms.com URLs are lead you to one those dodgy looking webpages where you end up when you mistype a popular URL?
