    Mr helpful,

As we keep having to reiterate, the Benefits board is about advice and support, often when the person asking for help is at their lowest point. I don't think that picking holes in their story is at all helpful.

If you don't have anything helpful to add to the thread, why not leave it to those that are trying to help the OP?
Yes and I gave good advice to get her story straight. I would have thought that was very helpful otherwise people might get a different opinion about the OP

Thanks for the PM :) Just wanted to know what was being said. Don't like not being able to defend myself!

In future, if anyone has any questions/queries, please direct them to me via PM, don't like people talking about me.

I can tell you. I lightheartedly pointed out the discrepancy in your time clean and sober posts 33 and 36.

If an interfering busy body had not hit the snitch button you would know and would have easily been able to defend yourself not that there was much really to defend.

I dont think a public forum is the place to be if you dont like people talking about you

The OP knows what you said, and that you strongly implied that she was faking her condition. Clearly had your post been 'lighthearted', Abuse would not have removed it.

Thankfully she also knows that people like you don't really count for anything!

Again, if you don't really have anything constructive to add, then why don't you leave the Benefits board alone?

The words were light hearted maybe I should have put a smiley after it. I pointed out in later post that people could come to a different opinion

who are people like me? what do you count for?

Explain why denying her the chance to defend herself (which as she said she would like to do) is helpful.
If she was really offended dont you think she could have hit the snitch button herself?
Peple can make choices for them selves and dont need busy bodies to do it for them. if someone is capable of airing their problems on a public forum they are capable of hitting a button if they want to. However as you say this board is about advice but I personally find it difficult to give advice if the person has 2 differing stories so I wanted that cleared up first.
Perhaps you could give feelingood the honour of being able to reply for herself instead of trolling around making peoples minds up for them.

I'll explain that if you like :)

I'm a multi addict, so I have different 'times'.

For me, sobriety is not drinking. I've been sober for 18 months.

Clean is not misusing any drugs. I've not used for 18 months.

Abstinent is not using food (binging and purging). I've been struggling with it lately.

When I mentioned about being sober and abstinent for the first time in months, what I meant was I was abstinent from all addictive behaviours for one day (no alcohol, drugs, sex, self-harm, binging or purging).

    Hope that makes sense :)

I worded that wrongly. I meant I don't like being aware that people are talking about me behind my back :)
