Brain not working, emergency housing advice needed.

Hi all. Apologies for posting in wrong place, but brain = mush.

If someone leaves thier husband, what can they do?

This person has got family the could stay with, but they are 250 miles away, and this person has severe mental health problems and doesn't feel able to move away from the area where they have support.

They are on IB and DLA, so very limited income.

Is a hostel the only option?

The person is under 25 so scared of having to live in a house share, which with mental health problems doesn't seem like a good idea.

(Problems are alcoholism, bulimia, self-harm, depression, generalised anxiety disorder, borderline personality disorder and social phobia)
Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.

Is the person under the CMHT? If so, I think they could find them emergency accommodation. However, I believe this might be a hostel.

Could Shelter offer any help? What about MIND (Mental Health organisation) I'm sorry but I don't have a lot of advice to offer but hope things get sorted for your friend.

    Take care

You're an idiot. Probably best you don't post on this thread if you've got nothing helpful to say.

    I'll take that as a compliment. :)

Feelinggood, you could also suggest they contact their local council or CAB office. The council may view her as being in priority need depending on her circumstances.
