I received a call from 'Select Holidays' earlier today, saying I was in the last stage of a competition to win a holiday, the final draw is tomorrow.

Thank goodness I found this thread. Looks like they are on the look out for new recruits again
  • I had a call from Club Select Holidays advising that I had won a FREE Holiday for 4 in 5-star accomodation in either Spain, Portugal, The Canary Islands or several other places as well. The guy claimed that Jennie Bond was promoting their Company, he went on to say that all I have to do is arrange a suitable date and time to attend their local office and provide ID which would then enable them to provide written confirmation of their offer to me. I was told I could then go-away with their brochure and select my holiday. Only once it was booked would I have to part with an admin fee of £29.50 per person. He wanted to confirm a date when we could attend their offices, I advised him that my wife wasn't in and that he would have to call back before I could confirm. The guy said he would call me back tomorrow evening around 7 - 7.30pm. Googled their name after the call and lo-and-behold I landed here. I just new that it was to good to be true. Apologies for the length of this post but thought it would help. If this guy calls back tomorrow he'll get an earfull. Also, I'll just leave you all with a tip for anyone who is plagued with these type of calls, when you answer the phone and they ask for you firstly ask them who is calling then you can decide if you want to speak with them. If you don't want to speak with them just tell them that your not in, if they ask who you are just tell them that you are the cleaner or the house keeper, as they haven't got a clue who you are:)

Just had a call from these guys, like the poster above I had a google around and landed here. They're going to phone back later to confirm details with my partner, but will give them a very wide berth after reading this thread!
