I think Daijames may be referring to Club Select Holidays who are based in the Canary Islands - my grievance is with Club Select Holidays UK.0

Hi,
I've recently received a letter from a company named BTG Forensics who are investigating Club Select Holidays UK, this prompted me to search the internet to see if I could find out what was going on and stumbled across this forum.
On a holiday in Graig Park Country club in wales my husband and I were sold a lifetime membership to Club Select Holidays UK for a grand total of £8999, they agreed to take a timeshare we had as part exchange for £4000 which meant we parted with almost £5000. Unfortunately I can't remember how I paid this so can't go down the route of claiming this back from a credit card company.
We sent timeshare transfer documents to them shortly after signing up but didn't receive any confirmation or further documents to sign which concerned me slightly at the time.
The following year we received a maintenance bill from the timeshare company which we forwarded on to Club Select Holidays UK as they were the new owners, shortly after that we moved house and we never heard from them again.
Did anyone else part exchange a timeshare with Club Select, I am now concerned that we may still, legally, own the timeshare and would now owe over £1000 in un-paid maintenance fees.0 -

I have been offered a "free" holiday - no way do I want to purchase anything but has anyone been on these "free" holidays and would you recommend going???

I had a phone call yesterday to say i have won a 7 day luxury holiday for 4, flights included, and I only have to pay £29.00 per person administration fee and attend a presentation at Haydock Park. We won't be sucked in to join the club because we don't have the money anyway, but can anyone tell me if the prize will definately materialise as promised or is it not worth sitting through the presentation? I would be glad of advice- don't want to throw away a free holiday but equally don't want a heavy night at Haydock for nothing! Can anyone throw any light on this?0

How can it be a prize if you have to pay £29?
Does that include fuel surcharges and airport taxes?
Do you know which airport its leaving from & whether the dates are convenient for you?
Isn't this just a new version of timeshares?0 -
you are right, it is an inducement not a prize as they claim, but is it worth playing along?/ You give them 4 date options, but presumably have to take which ever one they say. One can be in school holidays. Does not include taxes so not sure if worth it.0

doesn't sound worth it to me.0

You are right. Not going to bother. Probably better to put the money towards our own choice in the long run, and save wasting a night at Haydock. :-) Thanks for taking the time to answer my query.0
