    I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an answer from daijames. He hasn't logged on since July 2007, presumably he's left the company. Maybe he had a crisis of conscious?

    I will attempt to answer your complaint as best I can, a lot of the points, (Salesmen lying & flights) I have covered in my previous posts, but I will re–emphasise our modus operandi.
    CSH tries to get the best possible prices for all customers, at all times, providing in our experience the service provided is up to standard.
    With accommodation contracts are negotiated with suppliers, and these prices are passed on to clients. Where we have no direct contracts we obtain accommodations from wholesale suppliers, passing any commissions we get paid directly to clients discounting the commission from the final price. Our private search engine gives our members a choice of over 100.000 hotels/apts/villas, and we are constantly searching to improve the prices.
    With regards to your booking at the Barcelo Jandia Mar, the rack rate is almost 50% higher.
    Where there is a commission paid, we pass it on, with flights however, very few companies pay commissions , so our reservation staff search for the best price, and if that means booking on line through the companies website, then that’s what we have to do.
    Car Hire, currency exchange, insurance and transfers all pay CSH a commission, an all are discounted in the members section, where a search will bring back a lower price.
    When we find a good reliable company we tend to stick with them, and in this case the prices quoted were from Holiday Taxis. The distance from the airport is 90kms to your resort, and if you jumped into a taxi on arrival the price is approx 130 Euros, over £100 one way.
    We never take chances with transfers because if they go wrong the whole holiday is spoilt from the beginning,
    At your insistence we found a cheaper firm that does a shuttle bus ( or you did ) at £29 return per person, however our reservation staff warned you that we are not liable if anything goes wrong, as we do not work with the company. Holiday Taxis do a lot of shuttle bus transfers and the cost is quite cheap, (normally one third of a private transfer) however they do not service the Airport-Jandia Route.
    I noticed you have published this on a couple of sites, giving the impression that we were conning you in someway (the Reservations Staff) by overcharging you for a transfer, this is not the case.

  • We were taken in by Club Select Holidays UK Ltd.'s sales pitch to the tune of 2995 GBP in Feb. 2006 at Graig Park in North Wales. This experience contributed to a family/financial crisis from which we are still recovering, and as part of the recovery process we want our money back.

    Would be interested to hear the LATEST from others who have had a similar experience, with a focus on what to do/where to go next.

    If you happened to pay by credit card you can reclaim from your credit card company. I did, so if you need any further information I may be able to help.

    Is the club still operating?

    Has anyone managed to get their money back. I think consumer credit act refunds are only valid for a period of 6 months from purchase??

    any more links to OFT prosecution of club Select?

    No the Club is no longer operating, if you follow the link below and key in Club Select Holidays in the search field will take you to the details - Club Select Holidays was dissolved on 19th Feb 2008.

    I managed to get my money back from the credit card company, I paid in March 2005 so definitely not a 6 month time limit. You have to be able to prove that the company can no longer provide the services you paid for

    How outrageous is that, it was disolved in Feb, yet in April Daijames was pretending it was an above board, pukka compnay.
