Luc, the dreams are awful (have sooooooo been there), but they are just that hun, just horrible dreams. A perfectly normal part of pregnancy.

I used to get them while I was awake too - my mind would wander and suddenly I would 'see' something really disturbing happening, really vividly. I actually had to shake my head and say 'NO', to get rid of the image. :o

I got random dreams pre pregnancy about Hubbles being in a car accident or something but could always shrug them off but the baby thing is really preying on my mind. I'm almost too scared to go tomorrow even though it will likely show me what a goose I'm being:o .

Finding it really hard to get on with anything else while these thoughts keep whizzing around my mind:o

    Thanks everyone.

No doubt I'll be on here tomorrow to let you kow what a complete muppet I'm being but even though rationally I know that's more likely than not it is so hard to shake the negative images:confused::o

  • Try not to worry, I had the horrific dreams when I was pregnant too, I'm sure they are normal and I didn't give birth to a headless baby, gingerbread man or any of the other things I dreamt about!

I also had a bad bout of food posioning and it didn't do my baby any harm at all so your tummy ache is probably nothing to worry about, I am sure tomorrow ill be very reassuring for you.

    Sarah xx
  • ooh, Luc, here's a big soft hug from me.

Try not to worry, i've never been pregnant so can't empathise with that, but I always think of dreams as your brain sorting out all it's filing and chucking away all the rubbish that you don't need - that's all it is - thoughts that were deep and hidden away - they've come to the top of the filing pile and your brain has chucked them away because they aren't needed.

After I left my last job and the awful situation I went through, I had nightmares every night for a fortnight that she (manager who was bullying me and made me very ill) was coming back to get me. Horrible at the time, but I just tried to see it as emotions and thoughts that were buried but now needed chucking out.

    ...and relax:D

Not long back from hospital and all is well with Bean. Fingers, toes and organs in order and capcity to stick tongue out at parents = healthy baby.

Told midwife about nightmares and she told me off for not going up to get a heart beat monitored:o said I wanted to leave them free for the people who really needed it and she just laughed then reminded me my mental welfare is important as the physical side and if will help me sleep then to just phone and pop up:D

The relief is immense. I mean I knew I was stressing but hadn't realised how much until I could let it all go.

Anyway, just thought I'd confirm what you already know - I'm a muppet with a hyperactive imagination:o . Thanks for the lovely messages.
