You make me laugh its alright for the kids to throw a sicky, but their dad cant, hes not even getting paid for it, very hypacritical.

Two Big Mac's and fries please.
I hardly think that a six year old missing a friday off school just before the half term will effect the education too much, and we would be informing the school that we would be moving.
I'm not a fine upstanding member of the community - but i do maintain some basic principals of fair play - try it for size, you may well find it is easier being straightforward and honest and more importantly fair with your boss/staff than having a mind like a corkscrew and having to delve into crippling regulations and lying to get what you want like a spoilt child.
No apple pie thanks.0 -

Personally speaking i would just take the time off sick.
If he has a good record at work there isn't a lot they could do they would have a procedure for dealing with ecessive sickness and they would have to follow that. i.e verbal warnings followed by written warnings.
They would have to prove he wasn't sick and then they would only be able to instigate their warnings procedure if he had already taken lots of time off sick.
If they tried firing him he would have their guts for garters in a tribunal.0 -
