he would also save the children the trauma off being looked after by people who they are not familiar with them, its obvious they were having problems leaving them with family friends, thats why they were travelling 25 miles to drop the kids off.
Just think your moving house your kids are with strangers and your doing it on your own as your husband as gone i to clear the wharehouse.
It astounds me of the way some people think.

Life stinks doesn't it confused?
Trauma, a baby sitter is trauma? Are you telling suggesting that these kids should be brought up afraid of their own shadow? Knowing what kids are like today (sorry again OP) I expect they will be smoking a bong by about 11.00am.
For the love of sweet baby Jesus will you get a backbone man and stop hiding behind this pathetic facade of having to use rules and regulations and nampy wet pap as an excuse for doing what normal people have to do- making sacrifices and understsnding that "no" means "no".
I bet you think that children should never be smacked either.
Good God, you and you ilk are the ruination of whatever was left good in the UK.0 -
It's a bloody WAREHOUSE, not a !!!!!HOUSE or a WEARHOUSE or a WHEREHOUSE.0

Conused,
I'm kind of astounded that people seem to need so much help moving. Its horrid and hard sure, but if you are goig to move at short notice you have to accept that you'll probably need a man and a van for lifting stuff, if not a removals firm.
Sure, the children will find it a bit boring and it is a concern to look out or them, but you know, it happens. I'm not a parent but I moved with my parents, I'll expect to move if I have kids, all without a childminder an most likely my husband. Incidently this is my hsbands holiday, and I am sitting by the computer because he has gone on a work trip, and our last holiday too was wiped out in this way, but they pay the bills and hopefully this will be relected at bonus time or promotion time, or at least not negatively reflected - oh that Mr Lostinrates is always demanding his holiday time b honoured, can you imagine how much avantage he'd take if we promotd him?-
Its not fair but it is life.0 -

I said i would not respond to you again but i will this particular time and YES i do think children should never get smacked.
And if a parent does hit a child i believe it shows they have no control, if you hit your kids, your more or less telling them when they think something is wrong it is okay to hit someone, which is completely wrong.

Captain Mainwaring you haven't explained your comment about Chalfont St Giles Days. Are you just wanting to be sarcastic about everyone's comments or was there a point to your post?0

You won't reply again? Yipee.
I'll smack the kids in celebration.

Because no one asked me to explain. There was a note of irony, I was suggesting that we should be able to demand time off whenever we feel like it, even to the detriment of the company we work for. We are all however agreed it seems that Confused can take as much time off as he needs, then take a swim that needs no towel.0
