have just seen this - you're telling me that at my height 10.5 stone is too light..... i wish! it would put me in a comforatbe 10-12 size.....(nearer 12) thats not too skinny

I think tara thought 3/4 stone meant 3 or 4 stone whereas you meant three quarters of a stone.

It's probably the same effect as drinking a glass of water before eating - it makes you feel fuller and more aware of what you're eating (may give it a try from now on!) It's the same as drinking if you feel hungry, your body might actually be after water not food - I pee like a racehorse anyway so this isn't much different.

I do it all because I'm scared.

But you can save more than £6 a week by simply not eating those foods that make you hungry in the first place.

Potato and potato based products.eg.chips and crisps.
    Rice and rice products.
Corn and corn products. eg. Cornflakes.
Grain based products. Eg.pasta, bread, biscuits, breakfast cereals, porridge.
Sweets, cakes, Danish pastries, fizzy drinks, juice .
    All sugar and sugary products.
Margarine (chemically processed vegetable oils) and omega-6 rich oils are not suited for our bodies. They contribute to an increased risk for heart and artery problems, diabetes, overweight, cancer, allergies etc.
Oils with a high omega-6 content. Eg. corn oil, sunflower oil, soya oil, peanut oil.

If you don't eat the foods that raise your insulin levels your body is obliged to burn the fat it has stored. When your body does this you will feel more alert mentally and physically more active. Our bodies evolved to enable us to hunt when we needed food. For 2 million years we lived without corn or wheat.

Look here to see what happens if you give up wheat
    Wheat-free is not gluten-free

By not eating foods that make you hungry, it is easy not to snack and not to overeat. I haven't found it difficult or a challenge in any way, and I haven't spent a penny on special foods, counseling, diet plans or books or anything else.

well i eat lots of spudies for tea and ill put my weight loss up against anyone whose not had gastric surgery or on the biggest loser show :p

as for the slim shots, hmm yummy Polyethylene glycol, a laxative / sex lubricant

Polyethylene glycol has a low toxicity and is used in a variety of products.[6] It is the basis of a number of laxatives (e.g., macrogol-containing products such as Movicol and polyethylene glycol 3350, or SoftLax, MiraLAX or GlycoLax). It is the basis of many skin creams, as cetomacrogol, and sexual lubricants, frequently combined with glycerin. Whole bowel irrigation (polyethylene glycol with added electrolytes) is used for bowel preparation before surgery or colonoscopy and drug overdoses. It is sold under the brand names GoLYTELY, NuLytely, GlycoLax, Fortrans, TriLyte, Colyte, Halflytely, MiraLAX, Softlax, ClearLax and MoviPrep.

  • Hi Tara, a girl I used to work with swore by it just to keep her appetite down during her time of the month when she used to binge but I don't think that there was any miraculous weight loss!

Just as a note here for anyone considering this:
Ingredient Phenylalanine (50% of aspartame), can have dangerous effects for diabetics and those with ADD/ADHD

I can't see anything in the (limited) research that indicates there is anything wrong with this product but obviously long-term you might want to look at more sustainable ways to be healthy (note I don't say "get the weight off" as you can be skinny and unhealthy).
