Morning Angie-baby. I must admit it made me chuckle thinking of your DS at school with his pea and ham soup lol. Good idea about making a loaf overnight though.

I know money is tight but Argos had some real bargain offers on their TVs at the weekend, might be worth a look.

    Doing ok today,

DS had to be picked up by Dads GF as childminder got held up in an appointment.

Had to buy DS new gloves and hat as he has lost his others, ive told him next time it happens he can pay for them. Cause im evil!

Did go to the butchers and bought - ham knuckle for soups, 2 pork chops and about 2lb of stewing steak - total of £8.51. Not great but means we can have stew which i love in this weather, plus its done in the slow cooker meaning i dont have to cook! Stewing steak should make a fair few portions to freeze too.

Got to go xmas shopping with dad and DS and Dads GF - for the record im just going to put ESM - stands for evil step mother, which she isnt, but its a personal joke between the family, and im not too sure how to shorten Dads GF anymore than it is.

Also have to give DS £30 as ive been looking after his paper money.

Wont get much done at home tonight, prob soup and a roll for a quick dinner as I know we wont be home before 8.

    Hi Angie!!

Another eventful day then!!:j I threatened my DSS once with having to by his own replacement hat - the response I got was "well I will then - Daddy will give me the money!!" :rotfl: Bless em!!

£8.51 is not a lot to spend on meat - see how many portions you get and then divide it out - you should be quite surprised!!

Mmmmm - ham and pea soup! Did you get the recipe off here or is it a family secret?

Have a good evening escorting the shoppers round the shops,

No real recipes, got the idea off of here, and just kinda change it to what i have in. As long as i have peas and a ham joint, (well ive done it before with bacon off cuts) anything else can go in, im a kinda chuck it all in girl.

When DS lost 3 new jumpers in the first week of school i made him pay for one out of his pocket money, that one didnt go missing. So it works!

    Morning,

Had a nice night yesterday. My dad and DS went shopping for my xmas pressies and instead of me and ESM taggin along we were dropped of at the pub instead! Spent a non budgeted £10 but was needed and had a giggle for an hour. Ended up going back to Dads and having a pizza for dinner which was nice as 1, i didnt pay and 2, i didnt have to cook.

Need to draw some money out to pay childminder today, and update all my xmas lists. Also need some more hot choc for snowman soups and choc chips. Need to get smowman soups and pots of gold done as i finsh work next Friday :j I cant wait to have some proper time with DS.

Got loads to do this weekend, hoping to make a start tonight so there isnt too much tomorrow as i need to have a bit of a baking day to top up the freezer.

Oh, DS has told me that he prefers the schools cabbage  and not mine! Mine is too hard  So he wanted dinners again today, i have let him, more lazyness than anything though as we were running late this morning :o

Right, have been looking at the bank situation,

    Balance is at £324.65 O/D

    Still to clear

    C Care W/E 19/12 £50
    Bank Charges 17/12 £81.40
    Days Out £100 W/B 22/12

    Balance £556.05

BUT Tax Credits on 19/12 for £95.36

So on the 19th bank account should stand at £460.69 O/D but within limit

My wages are also being paid on the 19th and my plan is too take £150 for pressies / food and transfer the rest into savings account until the 1st of Jan. Means 6 weeks until payday again.

I do have some cash in my purse - £40 I will use this for travel to work £12 (£2.40 a day) the rest will be for food.

I really need to get xmas out of the way so i can concentrate on my debts. I want to be debt free by this time next xmas.

Have spent £1 on red bull today, needed the caffeine. I also have plenty of ciggs as one of our customers sent some in for xmas - so have 100. These will just have to keep me going as im not buying anymore at the moment.

Least your will be within your limit.

I think a lot of us are in limbo with the debt thing at the moment as Christmas has such an impact.

In a sad way I am looking forward to January and cracking on with the debt busting.
