Because I was with Smile I can use all the same log-in details so not only have I got the account all set up, but setting up DDs, Standing Orders, etc is as simple as knowing the reference number and banking details and away I go!!!! :j:j
The same happened to me, I was with smile and didn't first dare to open an accoutn with wo-operative as I had debts with them, but was fed up with Nationwide who didn't want to give me a debit card although I am discharged for 7 months now. So I called co-operative, the guy was extremly nice and as you mentioned, got my card 7 days later and all my smile details still work! :T0 -

I am with the Co-Op, and I gotta say how pleased I am..
The online banking is quick and easy to use, and no fuss or frills to have to get around.
I can post off cheques to them in the post and they always get there
I have rang them a couple of times and the people are very friendly and no Press 1 for this, Press 2 for that options to navigate around :T
They send you a statement everytime the statement page is 1 page in length, (if you get me), which is handy for me to keep track of things
I love them!

If you want to pay cash into a coop account, all you need is the card. Card into the card reader and you hand the cash over. There is no paper work at all for the deposit (other than the paper receipt from the teller).
You should receive your PIN 2 days after the card.====0 -
This is probably a dumb question but I assume these accounts are designed for people with bad credit? Am going to see if my OH can open a cashminder tomorrow but his credit rating must be terrible by now. Do you think that will be a problem? Total debt £21,000 :eek:Weight loss to date - 2 st, 2lb:j0
