Im worried about opening an account as I dont seem to have any ID at the mo. My passport ran out 2/3 years ago, I dont have a driving licence and I cannot for the life of me find my birth certificate! Advice anyone?

Hubby and I made BR today we went into co-op bank from the Court very friendly and helpful, my passport ran out 4 yrs ago, I have only a paper not photo driving licence and all utility bills in husbands name, none of this seemed to be a problem, she photocopied passport, driving licence and the car insurance letter that is in my name and says everything should be up and running in 2 to 3 days! Give it a go they seem to be totally geared up to help.

If you really can't find your birth certificate, you can order a copy online - it takes about 10 days to come. It's worth doing, because there are times when a birth certificate is the first line of ID to getting other things. I couldn't find mine & ordered 2 copies of it just in case I lost it again. :)
