    Morning everyone,

I agree with Sunnyday here frogga.. housework is always there and a quick once over to look like its done will suffice when you're up against it. I'd have fun walking the dogs tho if you can. They'll love it and you'll get the fresh air. I've definitely developed the 'good enough' ethos when it comes to housework.

Recovering - no joy getting DS to see a doc as yet but a friend works in mental health therapy and is giving me the heads up on some treatment therapy that you can access online if your relative etc won't make that move. Just waiting on the details as yet. Thanks for asking. ;)

Right! This week is going to be a fabulous week (or should it be joyous?) despite what else goes on in my life. You lot all seem to manage very well with you stressy jobs etc so I shall. :D I WILL lose properly this week and I WILL look forward to jumping on those scales on Saturday. :j
Frogga you and I will lose those bloomin' lbs to get us to the next stone drop whether it be this week or next but we'll get there and then we can be all smug and put it in 5 inch letters for toni to see, you see if we don't. :p

    So...........

    Food today:
    Fruit and fibre
Cheese salad sandwich (with leaves from my own garden, am so proud :D:D )
HM cheese and ham omelette and salad with apple coleslaw

Snacks - usual grapefruit and apples, maybe prunes is I fancy.

DS2 just given me a hug and wanting to start his work early so thats good.. means I get a chance to do some gardening later and hoe my veg patch. Think I'll sow some more seeds down there, too. :T

    Catch you all later. ;)

    Morning Sunnyday and Cheerfullness :T

I am trying tio think like that but I keep panicing as I have 20 people from work comming round for a bar b q on June 27th as my Farewell do and I need to get on top of things before then. I want the whole house and garden looking lovely not a !!!!!! pit :D I will get there, as soon as I finish this damm X stitch I'll concentrate on the house again

You wont believe what I just did? Tadpole 1 had spent HOURS yesterday making an ancient map for homework. About an hour ago she asked me how to make it look more authentic. So like a complete muppet I put it in a cup of hot black tea as I thought it would age it. It dissintergrated  I have just spent an hour trying to peel apart all the mush and reconstructing it. We have backed it onto card and covered it in sticky back plastic. Tadpole 2 went ont he computer and made a label saying
" Ancient Map of Treasure Island
    Donated to the British Museum
    Priceless"
Tadpole 1 loves it! DO you think things could get any worse? It's lucky I'm an atheist as I would swear someone is trying to send me to the larder ATM!

    Good Morning my lovlies! :hello:

i haven't posted in a while and consequently have put another 1lb on  Its my own fault though.

Its so hot already here, its 8.12am and i am boiling! i don't really like the heat (unless im on hol and have a pool to play in!) had our fan on all night but it didnt seem to make much difference. Still it will do wonders for the veg in the garden, (I hope)!

Frogga ((((((HUGS)))))) i would go with Sunnyday on the housew**k issue, you can only do so much at a time so dont beat yourslef up about it, a bit of dirt never hurt anyone :D

RS - i dont really know what to say but whatever you decide to do re surgery we will be here for you.

Mrs Mc - 100lbs!!! you go girl!!! :j thats fantastic, as i have said before you are an inspiration to us all!

Toni - I made my invites, and i dont know what your theme is but i have a couple of hundred small gold rings left and some gold wedding/invitation sticky words (in a nice scroll writing) if you would like them?? PM if you want any advice or anything. i was so proud that i made them, but at the end it def was a labour of love!

((((HUGS)))) to anyone else that needs them and im sorry if i missed anyone.

B - raspberries and yoghurt, banana

    L - [strike]omelette if i can stand cooking in the heat[/strike]
ended up with cheese toastie, (2 slices brown bread and 2 slices edam cheese ) and small white bread bun with butter :o feel like carp now so think i may give bread a miss for few days, see if that helps.

t - not sure, hopefully a salad of some kind involving chicken and potatoes

    Snacks - Grapes, strawbs

    Have a lovely day peeps.
Please be nice to all moneysavers!

Morning all, sending positive vibes to everyone for this week :j

Today we have an office lunch but I managed to wangle things so I chose the venue as I know they do lots of really good healthy food and everything is freshly made. I am feeling really good today, it seems that the TOTM bloat has shifted and I feel much slimmer in my clothes. Its always nice when someone notices as well, last week someone I hadn't seen for a few weeks said "Ooh you look marvellous" so it gave me spring in my step for another few days :D Shame OH's usual comment to me losing a pound is "I found it in your jeans and kept it" :rotfl:

B: Porridge with skimmed milk and water
L: Nicoise salad or greek salad & lots of water
D: Roast chicken with sweet potato mash, cabbage, carrots, broccoli and a spot of gravy

S: Probably won't have anything today as portions from restaurants are hard to count so I will play it safe.

Have a fabulous week everyone, the weather is glorious so smile and feel marvellous :T

Well Frogga at least you didn't put it under the grill like I did with my history work. Silly teacher said it would 'age' it... the thing was a fire ball in seconds!

Right off to menu plan for next month and find every healthy, cheap recipe I can glean from these cookery books.

    Morning all!

frogga - I can understand how you feel, working full time myself with 3 partime jobs too and a family who do nothing around the house! I just cant relax unless my house is reasonably tidy and clean but I dont go overboard as its impossible with 2 dogs to keep it spotless. Just allow yourself a set time each day for HW and then whats not done leave it and enjoy walking the dogs and cross stitching. In my house you I'm the only one who notices when I've cleaned anyway!:D glad you rescued the map!:T

cheerfulness - hope you have a fabulous week!;)

    RS - :hello:

Hope you all have a joyous in June week!;)

    Food plans today

B - small portion muesli and 1 small seedy toast

    banana

L - mackerel on toast with salad

    HM vanilla yoghurt

D - quorn nuggets. salad and spicy cajun SW wedges

    see you later x
    Do what you love :happyhear

Frogga - Ditch the housework for now!
When I was married to OH NO1 I was trying to work full time, bring up 2 kids, doe everything in the house and do an OU degree at the same time:eek:
I ditched the house work before I made myself ill.
It will still be there in a couple of weeks and won't take much more work AND if you dn't do it MR Frog and the tadpole might notice that the housework fairy has left!!!:rotfl:

    Back later!

    Morning all.
Hugs to all those that need them.

Wasn't very good over the weekend. Went to an engagement party, spent ages helping set tables and chairs up and clear them away - so surely that must have burned off the calories from the erm 4 bits of cake I had?? :o

Frogga, as for the house it doesn't all have to be perfect. Shut all the upstairs doors. That means just downstairs and the bathroom need to be tidy and everything else can be hidden away :p Besides, when you have kids, no-one expects you to have a showroom house ;)

This all makes me realise how glad I am that my OH does most of the cleaning, dusting, hoovering - I do the cooking and cleaning up after meals (and thank goodness for dishwashers), and clean our bedroom, and he cleans the rest - and he makes sure every room is done once a week. He even pulls out the fridge, cooker, dishwasher etc and cleans behind them every month - never met anyone that does that!!! He won't come food shopping with me either ;)

But sometimes I get fed up of making the tea and cooking the dinner and having to pick all the plates up and clear them away. I think that's when I haven't given myself any "me" time. So now I try and take a bit of time out - even if it's just a nice long bath. Or I buy myself a £1.99 bunch of flowers or something small that makes me smile.
