Hello everyone - hope you are all having a good evening (((hugs))) to Mrs M, Rockie, Cheerfulness, Superspam and anyone else who is feeling low.
Welcome to all the newbies - Beanielou - do you like Radley Bags or Scotties? I have a little Scottie dog - he's getting on a bit now but he is so cute!
Taplady - 2lbs is nothing in the grand scheme of things - you can easily shift that this week. Comfort eating is such a pain isn't it?
OGITH - I had that licorice tea at the hairdressers once (they always have herbal teas) and I have to say that I didn't like it much - I only really like the peppermint tea, although I don't mind that Redbush stuff either.
DD1 went awol again last night - I was furious with her because I had to leave the house at 6.30 this morning to go to the hospital for my colon examination and because she wasn't in I had to leave DD2 in bed asleep - I was in such a panic about it - luckily I managed to get hold of exOH and he came round just as I was leaving the house - he wasn't best pleased at me getting him up at 6am though! She still hasn't turned up and won't answer her phone. She went out at 11.30om last night after making 12 bacon barms (using all my Taste the Difference Bacon which I only buy now and again as it's really expensive) and a batch of chocolate brownies (bf didn't want the flapjacks apparantly) and then getting a taxi to the bf's with them:mad: So, because she had made the flapjacks and left them here I finished eating them today! I have had four today and they have given me proper wind. I also ended up eating the pasta bake I had made for her and DD2's tea - wasn't too much but still a bit carb and fat heavy for me really. Kids!
I have recorded River Cottage Spring - I love Hugh FW - he is really calming to watch IYKWIM.
Hope everyone is okay.Jane

Hi everyone :hello:
Ive been lurking on this thread for a while, not posting anything but have been really interested by what people have to say so i would like to join if thats ok? How do I go about it?
I have about 2 stone to loose. I've been with my boyfriend for 3 and a half years and in that time have put on about 2 stone. I wasn't really bothered that much by it before but in the last 2 months I have put on about 10 pounds and it is really noticeable so I would like to get back to what I weighed before. It is only myself and my boyfriend, he's vegetarian and quite willing to eat anything I cook luckily so it should not be too hard (hopefully!) I could just use the encouragement and to be able to talk to people who are doing the same thing!

What's up Spammy, a problem halved and all that. It doesn't matter if your probls aren't as major as others, they are upsetting for you and we're all here 4 u xxx
Still sulking that I had to pay to get into the show yesterday, must be loosing me touch
Only one more day til WD. I feel LOADS thinner but don't know what the scales will say. It's TOTM too which might not help. Still, next week will then show better results.
I know some of you find it helps when there is a long running prog on the telly to "be good" for the duration of the series. I think RS and I did it when "I'm a celebrity " was on last year. Big Brother starts next Thursday and it will help me focus. I think to myself that I'll just have to be good for the whole time they're in the house and when it's over I'll be heeps thinner. If you watch the series and get into it it goes really quickly and then you get to the end and stones have gonePerhaps I'm potty but whatever helps eh?
That Website was BRILL nixy thanks :A I have book marked it and will keep rereading it. Like you said, good to know we are all doing it right
Tadpole 1 is having a get together with some friends from old school that she hasn't seen since last July. She's really worried that they'll have nothing to talk about :rotfl: I'll give the uncomfy silence 2 1/2 mins

Hi All,
Just a quick post as very busy but weighed in a day early as will be on boat tomorrow and have lost 1lb. Hurray. Typical isn't it though - no long walks and a couple of little treats cos Mum is here and yet I lose, when good weeks with miles of walks I have stayed the same.
Taplady - the yoghurt maker is great. I put in UHT semi skimmed milk (will try skimmed next time), 2 tablespoons dried milk powder and 2 tsps Greek yoghurt (from fridge) - and thats it. I switched it on overnight and had wonderful yoghurt the next morning. I then strained it for 2 hours and got lovely really thick Greek style yoghurt. I used the whey for scones and they are really light and fluffy - and all gone already! I think I could have strained it for less time as it is extremely thick.
Sorry to dash, will be back on Saturday. Welcome all newbies and good luck those who are weighing in tomorrow.

Hi all :hello:
Well done to all the losers and welcome to the newbies, you will find lots of support on this forum and no-one is judgemental if you have a crap day.
Today I will be busy in work so hopefully that will keep me away from the biscuits that are still lurking in the tea room. Another late one though which is always risky, might go and put all my loose change in my car to remove the temptation of visiting the vending machine on a whim!
B: Porridge made with semi milk and water
L: Salad with cottage cheese and black olivesNot sure yet, going to a Turkish place with some friends and they do great tabbouleh and salads but also amazing griddled chicken kebabs with basmati rice so I will decide when I get there.
Hope you all have a great day, the sun is shining here :T0 -
Good morning all
Well done Rose :T
Taplady, there's always next week;)
I've weighed in a day early too because we're going camping ( ) later on for the weekend.
I have lost .....(drumroll) .....1lb. Not bad for my first week and its my TOTM as well so I'm happy with that loss.
I'll be away until Monday now. Good luck to evryone who's WI is between now and then. I bet you've all done brilliantly.0 -
I cant get my motivation back at all! Last week I was all WOO YEAH LETS GO and doing my davina dvds nearly everyday, this week, not once!
Actually if anyone is thinking about buying any dvds I really would recommend the davina, my 3 thirty minute workouts one. I love the cardio box section, although the core stability isnt so good, and the pump is too hard (wayy too many squats for me!)
Ok i'm going to do the cardio box in a bit, I dont lose any weight at all if I dont exercise. Although actually thinking about it, my food this week hasnt been too bad.May Grocery Challenge -£216/4000
