Started OK today, but changed lunch around as I was at home by then, having not expected to be.

I inadvertently had a walk this afternoon. Decided to post a letter then take a plate back to dd's friend's house. Before I go there I met the mum and she had the dog with her. We went to the park and had a walk round. THe only problem was that by the time I got back I felt giddy (low BP and low sugar I think). Had some Pringles (I dont like them, I really was doing it for the salt!) with extra salt sprinkled onto them. Had a crust as well. Decided I had better get tea ready and did myself a bed of veg for the chilli instead of the rice, as I had just had the carbs in the bread. It was lovely hm chilli.

I'm going to work out if I was 'over' in terms of cals today, just so that I know, It was supposed to be a new start. I know I can't help the Low BP, but will have to try and deal with it.

Morning all and well done the losers!

Haven't done too brilliantly myself. A loaf of bread made it into the house and many peanut butter sarnies were had, with twink hobnob accompaniments. Yesterday was going a bit better but then some friends came over and I ended up having a few drinks and a salad in pitta bread with half a portion of chips. Better than a kebab I suppose.

Just hope I don't put all the weight back on that I lost last week! Must concentrate my efforts between today and tuesday.

Sorry folks! I lost my way a bit last week, work is horrible at the moment and has brought on my cfs so I resorted to comfort eating:o

Never mind, we are off on holiday for a week in a riverside cottage so pub lunches - I will try to choose something healthy!;)

    Morning everyone,

Well done Kentish Maid on your loss. :T :T :T

Jumped on the scales this morning and I've STS. :( No doubt as a result of all the chocolate and jelly babies that I've snuffled off the kids.

Must get myself back in my stride but frankly not feeling much like it. Bit exhausted with life at mo..

Anyways, must be positive and go back to planning my food instead of just eating whats to hand.

    Food today:
HM seedy bread and grapefruit marmalade
Mackerel, new pots and steamed veg
    Bowland cheese and crackers

Snacks - grapefruit, orange and apple

Out for a wander and gossip with friend later this morning and then DH and I will be hitting the garden centre for some bark chippings to finish tidying the borders. Thank goodness for Bank Holidays. :D

Ohh just realised by looking at my weight ledger that I made my 8lb Marvelous May challenge loss last week, so at least I got that done and dusted. :j Am totally lost as to what the next challege was supposed to be. Had we thought about what the next one was going to be when this one finishes next weekend?

    Morning everyone,
well i did get weighed - i was going to try and wait anther day but my curiosity got the better of me :D

I`ve put a pound on so this means i`ve lost 5lb since i started instead of 6  My May challenge is deffo out the window now as i can`t see me shifting 6lb in a week without a carving knife :rotfl:
At least the damage now is only one tiny pound though i know it was more which is why i refused to go near the scales.

[STRIKE]Boyfriend[/STRIKE] Breakfast today is pate on toast

Dinner will probably be jacket potato & cottage cheese

Tea is roast pork with stuffing & all the trimmings, i`ll do a small portion for me though with hardly any spuds and lots of veggies, i love my veggies.

There are only two hobnobs left in the tin so there won`t be much in the way of snacks today - i`m not going near any shops either!:D

    Have a lovely day peeps

Morning all. Didn't get to sleep last night, too much going on in my head. was hungry and thirsty, so at 1am I got up, had some oats from the fridge that were soaking for today, put some more in and had a cuppa a nd 25g 85%chocolate. Not too much damage, as I said I was hungry.

Breakfast has been further oats (with stewed apple and lots of nutmeg)

lunch will prob be something salady. Might make hummus if I get a chance.

Dinner.... something with a bottle of red wine.... dh is out with his walking buddy today and buddy is coming for a meal... he and dh have their birthdays the same week in April and there is a customary exchange of bottles of red wine. This time I handed over a card inviting buddy to come over and we'd do him a nice dinner as well as wine, he likes coming here to eat. Just spoken to ds who has suggested lamb shanks. have a lovely Swedish recipe that makes a 'white' lamb stew with veg and light cream sauce rather than the usual red/tomato/gravy version. Much nicer for summer. I'll have a little bit of lamb and make more of the veg/potatoes etc. DS also suggested fruit pie, so will do extra fruit to stew and I'll have that. Not keen on pastry!

Am entertaining again tomorrow, but determined that I'll try and stick to sensible eating,MIL is coming and she is trying to shed weight, so no obligation to provide rich food. Doing Roast chick, stuffing, veg and then summer pud, I have the stuffings made already and summer pud fruit is already in the freezer, needs using up.

    Blimy, meat 2 days running!

  • Morning peeps :)

Woke up feeling a bit rubbish this morning, bit headachey, am trying to not take any para's just yet. Am having a mango smoothie atm so will see how I feel in half an hour or so. Can't help thinking it might have something to do with the 2 packets of crisps I had on a snack attack last night :o .

Me and DH are going out for a chinese tonight. We usually go for a set menu of dim sum (ribs, prawn, toast, spring rolls, samosas and seaweed), soup and a main which I can't remember what's included. It's just so much food and really want to just have say soup and then a main. Does anyone know what the better options on an average chinese menu are? Will say that I loooovvvee nooodles  and could quite happily eat them on their own :D.

Purpleivy - Your "white" lamb stew sounds lovely, any chance of a recipe please? Hope you have a nice evening and all goes well :)

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend :)
