  • Cor blimey, some fantastic losses today ladies!! A great big well done to all of you:T :j

Feel like I'm letting the side down now.... the week got off to a bad start on Monday with the choccy muffin and has gone downhill ever since. Went for a swim on Tuesday but the only other exercise I've had all week is my jaw going up and down non stop... I can't stop eating! Can't even say I've been craving anything in particular, it just seems to be one of those weeks where if it's not nailed down I'm hoovering it up!:o

Got a day off today and feel all fat and horrible and bloated so got a grip and I'm going to make amends over the weekend, starting today.... find it so much easier to stay on track when I'm not in work as long as I keep myself busy. Went into town this morning to stock up on healthy goodies..... cost a small fortune too so I WILL eat it!

    Today's menu....

    b- weetabix
l - mushroom omlette, salad, banana
d - pork steak, salad, new spuddies, strawberries on meringue nest with tiny dribble of single cream

See we've got some newbies since my last post.... hello, welcome and good luck all!

    Hi all

Some amazing weight losses there, how brilliant, well done all losers esp. RS - how did you manage 10.5 lbs? That's a-mazing! Stayres and gainers don't worry, as we keep saying here, one day at a time and the war is not lost (sorry about the pun) only the weekly battle, and next week will be better hopefully!

    Food today:

Breakfast: nothing - had to go shopping in a hurry as I had a guest visiting and yapping for hours and then I went shopping, and had 2 cubes of sample cheese at the deli counter with 1 cracker, and grapes as I was coming back from the shops.

Lunch: Leftover chinese soup, 2 frylight fried egg sandwich (in 2 slices small wholemeal bread), strawberries in 0% Greek yogurt. Still famished though!

Snack - am about to have one, prob. fresh and dried fruit to keep calories and syns at bay, because tonight.... read on:

Dinner: at my friend's - surprise but she usually cooks very low fat so no worries there - the only problem is going to be her husband's lovely home baked bread!

Got to go, see you all soon again

    Caterina
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Hi All

Well done all the losers - there seem to be an awful lot of them today. I was disappointed to STS despite all the long walks I have been doing. Still at least it wasn't putting on again. I am wondering whether to cut my calorie allowance down a bit further to maybe 1250 rather than the 1400 I have been trying to stick to.

I had another long walk today - it took us 3 hours but I think we were walking a bit slower than normal as it was quite warm and muggy. I feel really tired now but with an earlier trip to the shops to add to it, reckon I have done at least 23,000 steps today. I really ought to dig my pedometer out again. I think the walk we did is at least 6 miles but maybe nearer 8.

B: Muesli with raisins and skimmed milk. Cranberry and raspberry juice.
L: Seedy wrap filled with HM coleslaw, tomatoes and cucumber. Raspberries with 2 teaspoons Greek yoghurt.
D: Grilled fish, green beans, leeks, mushrooms, baked butternut squash. Orange.
Snack: Half a dozen cherry tomatoes.

  • Thank you for all the friendly welcomes.
This is what I've eaten/will eat today.

B ~ 1/2 a grapefruit, a kiwi fruit, 2 pieces wholemeal toast with sunflower spread and jam.

    S ~ apple

L ~ 3 pitta breads (sainsbury's basics so quite small) filled with hummus, chopped red and yellow pepper and cherry tomatoes

S ~ 2 pieces wholemeal bread spread with tartex mushroom spread

D ~ Roast veg and new potato casserole.

OMG it looks so much when you write it down, but it didn't feel much when I was eating it!!

Oh I have been sooooo naughty today:o My first real binge since I started on the thread exactly a month ago. Today I have eaten:

    B - banana shake
S - 4 cookies (possibly more to be honest, its all a blur), 3 bite size pieces of chocolate brownie, 1 jelly baby
L - a huge plate of mousakka (SW world recipe at least)
S - 5 sweets, a piece of pork pie and half a bag of crisps
D - Proper chips (as in deep fried) and battered haddock
P - a large slice of chocolate and baileys cheescake

Oh and 2 glasses of wine.

I knew it would happen as soon as my BF went away and I did it on purpose, I planned it out and went and did it. My only comfort is that its nowhere near as bad as I've been in the past.

Well, I suppose I'd better follow the advice I've given others on here at their low points - draw a line under it and start again tomorrow.

Congrats to all losers :T - WOW RS!!

OMG it looks so much when you write it down, but it didn't feel much when I was eating it!!

Here are a few tips that I've found helpful:-

I find that I can reduce portion sizes gradually over a period. After a few weeks, if I have a meal of the sort that I used to have, I can't even eat it all.

Try to eat protein. It's much harder work for your body to convert it into fat and it tends to suppress the appetite. (Tricky for vegetarians and vegans, this one).

Drink water (it's the only calorie free drink!) with every meal - even if you aren't particularly thirsty. It fills you up.

Chew every mouthful at least 32 times (even soup! :rotfl: ) It forces you to eat slower and gives your blood sugar time to rise and shout 'Stop -I'm full'. Also the enzymes in your saliva have a beneficial effect.

Eat low-GI foods. They make your blood sugar rise more gradually - so that it subsequently falls more gradually too. That helps stop you getting hungry between meals.

This isn't a diet. On a diet, when you stop dieting you put the weight back on. This is about training yourself to alter your eating patterns permanently.

Personally, I count the calories in the wine first and then plan the food around it! :rotfl:
If we are supposed to be thin, why does chocolate exist?

Beetroot and peanut butter sounds yummy to me:D there again, I like beetroot with anything;)

I had egg SW chips and beans for tea. I didn't go to MrT's, I was so kn*ckered after work I decided to just 'nip in' Asda..............got to the checkout thinking I'd spent about £30 and it was ..............£54.60:eek:
I was flabergasted!!!! I didn't buy anything fancy, no ready meals, no household stuff apart from loo rolls, I shan't be going there again:eek: for a while.

No time for a swim today but I have walked loads in work, up and down the stairs all day I'm pretty sure I've done my 10,000 steps today, I didn't even get a break this afternoon we were so busy!

    See you tomorrow folks :A
