    Hi Lainie -no problem:D

What sort of things do you like? If you give me some ideas of what things you would normally make /or things you won't eat i will sort you some out -any excuse to sit looking through cookbook/mags :p

I have quite a lot of recipes, some surprisingly low ones too so you can squeeze more out of your points ;) its amazing what you can come up with to make those points go further.... allowing for that extra treat that we all need :D

i will start looking through tomorrow morning -hubby is golfing so i can sit on my bum in peace and search

    Hi all,

I feel a bit rough, had a reduced fat chickpea balti (from the takeaway) with plain rice and a piece of rhubarb pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The rest of the day I had only had a green leaf salad with some pine nuts and olives so I had plenty of leeway but its just sitting rolling in my stomach.
If I could bottle this awful full, bloated feeling as a memory I would never overeat again......never mind eh.

Tomorrow is another day and we are having HM chicken burritos with spanish rice and salad with fresh alfalfa sprouts.

Going swimming on Monday to kick start my loss again, hoping for a decent loss this week coming so I need to be careful.

Bought myself a fabulous new red coat in a size 14 and it has room in it so I am delighted. Its the first time I have been a true 14 in 5 years (rather than a 16 forced into a 14 and splitting the seams).

    Have a great rest-of-weekend everyone :)

    Hi mrsm

Thankyou very much , its probably easy to tell you want i dont like for some reason there isnt much lol
i'm pretty traditional when it comes to food sunday dinner , bangers & mash , chicken curry , shepards pie , cornbeef hash , tuna pasta anything my mam cooks and nothing my dad cooks lol
the only thing i can think of that i really dont like is tomatos (uncooked) or if something is tomato based.
my points are very high (39 per day) due to my size so things with higher points are better as i dont want to use to many as snacks as when my points come down i will miss them.

thanks very much for your help

    Morning you lovely lot :D

Hubby has long since left for golf -so i have the house to myself...going to settle down with my cookery books/mags soon then onto the x stitch -got loads done yesterday :T

Lainie -don't worry -there isn't much i wont eat either  hmmmm off the top of my head -whitebait, oysters oh and anything to hot and thats about it :p .... ooohhh lucky you - I used to have quite a lot of points to use too so could afford the higher pointed dishes that others couldn't ...1 of the few benefits of being bigger ;) . I will get onto the recipes when i have posted this..... will do a selection of things then i can always add extra ones as we go along, or when you are fancying something different:D

Floyd -well done on the official size 14 ;) :T .... bet its a lovely feeling. I must admit whilst we were back in the UK we had 4 thai take aways -but it has to be the most stunning takeaway ever -so i enjoyed every last mouthfull (and there were lots of them:p )... will deffinitely be treating myself there when we go home again. Its the 1st takeaway that didn't leave you feeling stuffed and greasy....
Hope you are feeling better this morning..

    Food today:-
    1. brekkie -30g meusli
    2. mid morn - nectarine
    3. lunch -chicken pasta salad (with lots of veggies in) -will make it in a mo and stick it in the fridge till hubby gets home
    4. mid after -nectarine
    5. dinner - poached egg on toast -although if hubby is back late so lunch is late i won't bother
    6. supper -25g seed/fruit/nut mix
    7. snackies fruit/yogurt
Right i will get off and look through my books -shame ehh :rotfl:
have a great day everyone and hugs to all those in need:D
will pop back later to catch up....

    Hi All,

It's ages since I posted although I have been reading every day. I need to get back on track though as I haven't been eating quite as sensibly as I should and have stopped counting calories. Consequently I've put a couple of pounds back on and am back up to 10st 10lbs. It's only around 14 weeks to DS's wedding now so I really must sort myself if I want to be around 9 and a half stone for then.

The knitting hobby has really taken off and I now have a shelf of soft toys and 2 jumpers for OH's grandson. I've made 2 scarecrows, 1 lady scarecrow, a dressing up dolly, a tooth pixie and a soldier so far in the soft toy department. I have managed to use a couple of them for gifts, however. I am now making a chocolate labrador puppy for my dog walking friend to give to her grandson next week on his birthday - an exact match of the one we take for walks.

I have still been managing walks most days, though I must admit I didn't get out yesterday. This morning we are planning to walk up to our local park as we have heard there is a weekly car boot sale we want to find out about. Not to spend at but to try and sell some stuff there one week.

DS will be here with his fiancee as usual this afternoon for a meal but it's too hot to be making a roast with all the trimmings so I think I will go for something simple like grilled fish.

B: Fruit and fibre mixed with muesli and raisins, with skimmed milk.
L: Prawn salad wrap. Raspberry yoghurt.
D: Grilled haddock, new potatoes, mushrooms, green beans. Satsuma

    Rose

Just popped back to say we bought ourselves 2 tomato plants at the car boot sale. We paid £1.50 for them but they are very large and healthy so we're looking forwards to homegrown tomatoes in a while. Also got a pointed cabbage for 30p which seemed good value so will have some for tea.

  • Afternoon everyone

Welcome Lainie:hello: You can do it, good luck!!

Nice to see you back Rose.

Floyd, I tried chickpeas for the first time EVER the other day.... seen a lot about them on here but never eaten them..... always think they sound a bit tooooo healthy for me:o Tins, in a mediterranean sauce, were BOGOF so decided to give 'em a try.... it was like chewing bullets!! The juice was tasty but I'll be sticking with me baked beans in future!

I've just had the prawns I thawed out for yesterday's tea on a sarnie..... they looked, smelt and tasted fine but time will tell.... if anyone thinks I should have chucked them please don't tell me, it's too late, I've already eaten them!!
Walked over to a friend's yesterday afternoon, sat in the garden and stayed for an impromptu bbq tea..... had a largish burger, no butter, no cheese, a ton of fried onions and ketchup, mmmmmm:D I put more effort than usual into the housework this morning so that should have burnt off those onions... or some of them anyhow!

    today's food.....
B - 2 mashed nanas (needed using up)
    L- prawn sarnie, yoghurt
D- chicken, new spuddies, broccoli, carrots, peas

Have a lovely Sunday afternoon peeps!

    Afternoon Peeps,

Been busy busy in the garden ~ REALLY REALLY want to post a piccie of my efforts on here but I don't know how to do it  Will have to read some instructions somewhere and give it a go.

Welcome Back Nixy :j :j :j Really missed your daftness :D You look lovely in the piccies, and thankyou SO much for leaving the toad behind :A Hope we dont ever see that !!!!!! again ;)

Welcome Lainie :hello: Hope you're not daunted by the task ahead, just look at what MrsM has done :j You've come to the right place for help and support.

I've been thinking................................................ yes, never a good idea I know. I'm back to being very good again tomorrow after my few days off celebrating End of Term and Tadpoles Birthday. I shall be good for 4 weeks then I have friends comming down from Manchester so I'll be not so good that week. Then it's full steam ahead til Christmas.

I have made up a chart on the PC that tracks my progress. It goes all the way to Christmas and then I'll have another week off, then it goes all the way up to my Birthday. AMAZINGLY when I get to my Birthday it will make 52 weeks, one whole year since I started. That's gotta be a sign ;) I rekon I'll be perfectly slim by my birthday (20th April) and on the chart it doesn't look too far away :T

Also, I had another thought. I've divided the weight I wanted to loose into 3 targets. In total I wanted to loose 9 st. SO, my Bronze award is when I get to 16st, my Silver is when I get to 13st and my Gold medal will be when I reach 10st :j Good idea aint it? So people like MrsM will have already got Silver and Bronze and now be working towards the last little bit to get to Gold. I haven't actually got the Bronze yet, but if I try REALLY hard from now on who knows? Maybe before I start my new job on Sept 1st? With Luck! :D See, I'm full of good ideas today aint I?

Right better go, Mr Frog is building a "Crows nest" around one of the biggest trees in the garden for the Tadpoles to climb up and play in. that was another one of my good ideas, and Mr Frog was so chuffed ;) and I'm on tea making duty.

Have a good rest of Sunday Guys, be back full of enthusiasm to be good in the morning :j

    Hello folks:hello:
I'm shattered! Last night's [STRIKE]route march[/STRIKE] walk was 3 hours and I don't know how many miles 6 or 7 I think:eek: I had a glass of wine when we got back and a few oatcakes with hummus - needed to replace some energy ;)
Today we've been to the lotty and harvested loads of broad beans, spuds, beetroot and lettuce :D and I've spent the last 3 hours in Farmhouse Kitchen  I've made minted pea and potato cakes for the freezer, roasted beetroots, made garlic and herb butter (safely in the freezer)

I'm off to DD's in a bit with a bag of goodies for them.
Food today has been toast and jam for brekkie, egg on toast for lunch, 2 litres of water so far.
Tea will be.........mmmmm...sweet potato and lentil cakes with salad and last night's leftover potato salad with lime jelly/berries and a little ice cream :D

OH has gone to work taking a picnic for himself and his client, healthy food - not!! Pork pies and ham butties!! And no doubt ice cream and cake knowing him ;)

Off for a shower now, I'm tooooooo hot:rolleyes:
