Like a lot of us, I too had to visit [STRIKE]someone who passes as [/STRIKE]a member of the medical fraternity...& this one holds a very loose resemblance to a professional:angry:

I'd already told her that I don't weigh myself & use my clothes as a guide to how well I've behaved, but no.."How much do you weigh?..........Let's see if you're over weight." Then out comes one of those plastic discs & ----you'll never guess..:p ....go...:D...try & guess what happens next! Go on:cheesy: ....Becha can't guess can you:rolleyes2

    "You're over weight"

 Well! I'd never have known! Such insight from one so learned:T

Can you not tell that I am expressing genuine  at her powers of observation & obviously bow to her intellect:wall: The conversation kinda went down hill from there.. why?

I got a few bits whoopsied in the NAFFI earlier -€29.95 worth of stuff for €7.50 :j ....
got 2 packs of smoked salmon down to €1 each :T -hubby spotted them and enquired in a pleading voice "they are just for you aren't they?" :rotfl: think he was expecting to be force fed  not bloomin likely i love smoked salmon and i AM trying to increase my oily fish intake :p . Think i will bash one up with cream cheese for sandwiches ...oooh or i can make some more bagels :D mmmmmmmmm

3 bags of parsnips whoopsed to 50c each -again -just for me as hubby doesn't like them roast and i love em ;)

A whole chicken whoopsed from €8 to €4 but the lad put it through at €2 :j going to stick that in the oven later when it cools down outside -its sweltering...that will do us over the weekend -with leftovers ;)
2 punnets of baby plum tomatoes down to 50c each
ooooohhh and a 6 pack of blueberry and a 6 pack of choc chip muffins down to 50c a pack they are stashed in the freezer for those "emergancy" moments :D

Well i went to the DRs .... luckily no "prodding n poking" involved :T .. but i need to take him in the name and number of my sisters specialist so he can ring and find out "which gene" he needs to be checking for.......

    Hi everyone

Thankyou for the lovely welcome , i'm 33 mother of 2 and on the 11/6/08 i finally plucked up the courage to be weighed and i weighed in at a shocking 36stone 5lbs  , i knew i was very overweight as i tried to diet the year before and weighed over 31stones but to have put 5 stones on in a year i was gobsmacked but got over it quickly as i had to deal with it so i could lose it.
so anyway to cut a long story short i've lost 1stone 2lb so far i feel very determined and i'm following ww points plan and i hope that in them times when i feel i need food i will come here and forget all about it.

    Good morning,

Well done MrsM, ME, Princess Pixiedust and anyone else who has lost or STS. Hello Lainie, you'll love it here.

I am another STS. I haven't lost anything since I joined this thread - I just can't seem to get into it.

I think it's target related, so I'm not going to set any in future. It's SIL's wedding in 3 weeks, and my dress would look lovely if I was half a stone lighter. Sadly I was the same for my own wedding, I put on weight beforehand because I really wanted to lose some.

It seems that every time I put myself under any kind of pressure the weight loss stops:mad: I ate everything that wan't tied down last night.

I wonder if anyone else has ever put on weight for their first WI after joining slimming world. I'm fairly sure I will have done when I go on Monday night!

    Take care all of you

    morning all,

RS - yes DH got on ok at fracture clinic (after a 2 hour delay ) , and god it was sweltering in the hosp.1 piddly little fan between a huge waiting room!

the consultant he saw thinks he may have just ripped the muscle that attaches to his achilles (i have no idea you had 4 diff muscles in your calf alone!) as he can still feel all the achilles tendon properly down his leg. so the cast is off and he has a fetching big boot type contraption on his leg. has to go back in 2 weeks to make sure that it is starting to heal though and that there is no internal bleeding. so poor dh is feeling very sorry for himself.!

so still tired and i will admit my eating has gone to pot last couple of days, not too much eating but eating the wrong things. like finding myself in pizza hut yesterday :o

    Welcome Lainie :hello:

Huge congrats to the losers MrsMc - 5.5 lbs  , thats amazing! M.E. - 3lbs is a brill loss, well done!, and anyone else i have missed.

Huge congrats to the STS also, keep going we will all get there!

Frogga - 4lbs is nothing, i have no doubt it will come straight off come next week!

i have been out for a walk this morning already before it gets too hot, am at least trying to keep up with my walking even if my food is a bit strained next few days. Hopefully monday WI wont be too bad!

have a fab day everyone xx
