  • Hello everyone - welcome to nelly and other newbies and well done to Taplady and angelnikki and all other losers!

Made some minestrone type soup at lunchtime and it was really nice - just used a jar of Heinz tomato frito, a bit of tomato puree, some Knorr liquid veg stock, about a pint and a half of water and bunged in some oregano, mixed herbs, chopped carrots, courgettes, onions, leeks, peppers and a tbs of tomato ketchup and cooked it for about an hour. It was delicious and worked out at about 2 syns for a big bowlful. It made enough for the rest of the week I reckon.

    So, food today:
Breakfast - nothing as was late and had to run DD to school
Lunch - minestrone type soup, 2 slices of dry wholemeal bread and some sliced cold chicken.
Dinner - don't know - am not that hungry at the moment.

Bobbadog - bummer about the nando's lunch - I loveeeee nando's and that mix stuff they have on the counter with the spiced dried pulses is just lovely - I love it with the spicy rice.

Newlywed - glad you're feeling a bit brighter today.

Floyd - I sympathise with the TOTM bloating - I get it big time and it has got steadily worse as I approach the menopause!

:hello: Kyle, Saversarn, pebbles, nickynoo, superspam, toniwoty, chloebelle, OGITH and anyone else I have forgotten

Purpleivy and Cheerfulness - hope everything is okay with you two.

    Frogga - enjoy the film!

    Mrs M - stay strong.

    Evening everyone
Yay i've got my first star it feels so good:D

I've just noticed that I've got one too!! What did I do to deserve that?? Can anyone explain the star system to me.

:j Wahayy to Angelnikki. Brilliant loss girl.

RS - your soup sounds delicious. Might give it a go, but I haven't tried the sprogs with soup with bits floating in it yet - I usually just blitz everything. I'll have to experiment on them.

Newlywed - glad the grumps have gone.

    :hello: to everyone joining us.

There was a charity samosa sale at work today and I had one :o Then I had some garlic roast potatoes from the canteen. Not looking very good for my WI tomorrow. BUT I am going to Aqua tonight so I'll work extra hard to make up for it.

Dinner tonight will either be leftover lasagne from the other night or leftover curry from last night. Can't decide yet.

Have a good evening everyone. Still thinking of you, Mrs M.

Looks like the sweet craving finally got the better of me, just had half a tin of low fat rice pudding with some roasted rhubarb. Still counted in my days allowance so its fine and very nice it was too :) .

We have 'emergency rice pudding' in our cupboard for moments just like this, its a damage limitation thing so rather than making pancakes or crumble or cakes when I fancy something sweet we share the emergency tin instead hee hee

    Sleep well all X

    Welcome back Kika :D

Right, just hopped back on the scales and I've lost 6lb this week , and that was only since tuesday, so 2/3 of what I put on in the being a piggy week :D Back down to 17st 1lb so next week I'll be 16 something again with luck ;)

Feel very pleased with myself that I had a whole week off and then managed to pull myself together and get back on. Normally if I fall off the wagon , I'm off for weeks and then it takes a really long time to muster up the effort to start again. This time I didn't fall off the wagon, I simply paused, then pressed play again. that's a reall breakthrough for me.

Really missing MrsM this morning :A Hoping all is well, thinking of you and sending lots of love xxxxxx

Well done angelnikki, Taplady and Frogga.

I have given up caffeine and have felt like my head was dropping off for the last two days. I had to stop straight away because of too much acid in my stomach, so no gentle withdrawal for me.

My start of July WI was 14st 12.5 lbs, and I'm 1lb lighter than that this morning. I wasn't very good with food yesterday, I kept nibbling to take my mind off the pain in my head.

    I'm another one missing MrsM.

well done to kyle ,Frogga, angelnikki and anyone I've unintentionally missed who has lost this week!:T :T :T

    Wecome to back to Kika!:hello:

Am off to work later and doing another dreaded sleep in:rolleyes: I hate them as one service user has been keeping everyone up for weeks now! and it means I will be starting my weekend off knackered!

I have got my food all planned out

    B - 2 small organic seeded toast

L - jacket spud with 28g cheese and salad

D - its sweet and sour on the menu so I am taking some quorn pieces to make one of my own with using a bit of their sauce.

snacks - fruit and lowfat yoghurt and a small slice of birthday cake.

    Have a great day all!

thinking of MRSM and cheerfulness xx
