I have had a good day food wise -
Breakfast - slice of dry wholemeal toast and half a can of beans
Lunch - packet of pasta 'n' sauce, apple
snack - 2 ryvitas, laughing cow triangle, 1 oatcake and four chewy sweets which DD2 got given at school. The chewy sweets weren't planned but I have come straight on here after eating them so that I don't get all "oh I've broken the diet and so now I might as well pig out" IYKWIM.:o
Haven't figured out what to have for tea yet - I think I want a baked potato but don't really fancy beans again and have no cottage cheese - any ideas for a veggie filling cos I'm on a green day and have had both healthy extras.Jane

RS - I like spaghetti hoops in my spuds - but I suppose they are a bit too like beans. 28g cheese used as a syn, tuna used as a syn?, cous cous, cant think of anything else ATM sorry!
you could turn the spud into SW chips and have egg and chips:drool:
newlywed - (((hugs)))Do what you love :happyhear0 -
hello folks
RS - it's probably too late now but I like stir-fried veg in baked potatoes. And lentil dahl is nice too. Garlic mushrooms is another one. Fried cabbage and onions. Roast veggies. I'll come back if I think of any more.
Newlywed - it sounds as if your OH is sulking like a big baby and it's getting you down. Men are very good at this, and we are unfortunately very good at letting them  I know what you mean about work, though. I've spent the whole of today bored out of my head and wishing I were at home instead.
Food today has been quite good, with just one small lapse.
B - half a grapefruit and one piece of toast with peanut butter and ginger jam.
L - one seeded roll with hummus, tomatoes and lettuce. 2 apples
snack - packet of hula hoops because I was v. fed up at work.
D - aubergine and potato curry with a little rice.
And that's all folks.
Have a good evening everyone.0 -
ended up with 2 hash brown things (home made) for dinner. They didnt taste great lol so didnt eat them all. I did however manage to eat 4 cookies
which I had made for OH and DD. Ah well. tomorrow is another day....

Has anyone got an idea what I would put in to make a sort of no pasta minestrone soup? I have been having veg soup this last week with my sandwich at lunch time and I am a bit sick of it now! It is just made with chicken or veg stock and a bag of cauliflower, carrot and brocolli mix from the supermarket - cooked and then blitzed. I loved it at first but couldn't fancy it again today, although I do like soup. I fancied making a sort of minestrone and have cabbage, tinned tomatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms, courgettes, carrots, celery and herbs in at the moment. I don't want to include pasta in it so that I can have it on a green or original day (I usually make enough for a week). Any ideas?
I ended up having some cheese (a bit of red leicester and 2 laughing cow triangles) and a little bit of leftover ham (about a tablespoon when it was chopped) in my jacket potato and it was very nice! It wasn't that filling so I had half a packet of noodles a few minutes ago and an apple. I am not sure that I like those noodles though - they repeat on me!
Thoughts and prayers Mrs M...Jane

Thank you for the warm welcome for me and the other newbies. With all of you cheering us on I’m sure we can do well. :T :T :T :T
Agapanthus – Thanks for the concern but I don’t think its osteoporosis. My Mum has the early stages and I don’t have any of her other symptoms. I think it’s more likely I was measured incorrectly when I thought I was 5’7”! BUT I will keep an eye on it. :A
Had a quick skim through the thread. (((Big hugs))) to all in need and congratulations to everyone else (whose efforts I unfortunately can’t remember – sorry!)
Started off really well this week, but had the first birthday celebration yesterday (Tuesday). Managed 1 diet coke (!), 6 cocktails, half a bottle of wine, garlic breadsticks, olives, patatas bravas with aioli and a duck enchilada with refried beans! Sounds a lot but we started at 4 and I was home by 11 so it was spread out……….!
Today I have had yoghurt and a fruit juice from my machine – strawberries, raspberries, apple, pear, peach and pineapple – yuuummyyy! Chicken pasta salad for lunch and low fat chicken curry and rice for dinner. Got the week off work so it’s harder to stick to the not nibbling than when I am at my desk, but I’ll try. With all the extra calories I will be having this week cutting out the nibbles should help.
Catch you later, Kitty x:xmastree:Merry Christmas0
