  • Hello all
Quite new round here, been reading a few posts and 'thinking' about getting started :o but I need to get my finger out and make a commitment... I need to lose a HUGE amount and the thought is a bit paralysing - I know I should take it a half stone at a time and all but that is an awful lot of half stones :o and I get bogged down in the thinking without actually 'doing'

So today I am going to buy a set of scales - need to know the full horror :o  and I'll plan two weeks menus aswell to get me started. OH is spreading a little round the midsection (in denial :D ) so the whole family can eat with me with just extra puds/treats for them.

I have been dieting on/off since I was 5 and have had enough  . I need to do this once and for all as my health is beginning to suffer and the old joints are yelling at me.

Am I too late to post a target for July? I think it may inspire me to a good start!

    Good Morning!

Toni - I am still here - I'm just working such long hours ATM I don't get on the poota much. My JiJuly target was going to be 7lb which I think I mentioned on here at some point, however, I think I'm being a little hard on my self with all the stuff I've got going on this month and I don't want to set myself up for a fall so can I revise it to a 5lb target please?

RS - sorry to hear you have been feeling so anxious. I think Frogga is right, you need to give the people around you as much information as possible so they don't panic if something happens. The same goes for you too - get on Google and find out as much as you can. If anything worries you or you come up with any questions, write them down and go and see your doctor for reassurance, that's part of their job you know - helping you to understand and cope with what's wrong with you. Anyway, now you're on track with the weight loss (great loss by the way!) you'll be able to have your operation in no time! Just focus on how wonderful it will feel when you don't have this hanging over you anymore:D

I haven't been on for a couple of days due to work but I see we've had some good losses so well done everyone!:T

I am doing ok, I don't think I'm having the best week though as I now have a rotten cold  Oh well, we'll see what the scales say tomorrow.

    Bye for now!

    Morning all!

OH came home late last night, so I nibbled a slice of Kingsmill 50/50 whilst waiting for him, then planned dinner of pasta and meatballs... and then a Fab ice lolly and half a packet of Haribo. I was 204 calories over for the day (I aim for 1311), but figure the Haribo and Fab are at least low fat!! (And they were free - should I count free food??) ;)

Still feel very under the weather, but have come to work as it's a colleagues Birthday and I want to help her celebrate.

    Today:
B: 1 slice of ham on 1 slice toast, and an orange
    S: nectarine
L: going to Nandos, either veggie pitta or a salad, and corn on the cob. No mayo!
    S: apple
D: chicken wrapped in ham and cheese (minimal cheese!), rice and steamed veggies

Can't even contemplate bouncing or jogging on my rebounder as nose is streaming and ears feel like i'm under water, but my throat is better so hope i'm through the worst of it!

Have a lovely day you all :) x

    Erm... a flapjack, a banana

Lunch is a ham, cheese and pickle wholemeal roll.
