Adult acne cure

Here we go with the preaching...it's their choice Ted. If they choose to use a topical application rather than ramming a load of pills down their neck then that is their choice.
Quite clearly you have never been plauged with adult acne or you wouldn't be quite so smug about it.
Why can't YOU grasp that you may choose to live your life following a specific diet and taking supplements left right and centre but not everyone wants to.0 -

I would post up my before and after pics of when I took Roaccutance but quite frankly I am too shame faced of how bad my skin was. And I would have thought that would have been proof enough for the most normal person but you clearly like the basis of everything. I don't need to know the scientific process of why anything works, I just need to know it does.
Yes this is a moneysaving board so I fail so see where the moneysaving is of buying many supplements each month. Which are a con. Because if you ate properly instead of following that ludicrous Atkins (didn't the man who invent it die of a heart attack?) then you would get the vits and nutrients you would need.
Now I know you will post again with no doubt some more scaremongering techniques (Alzheimers?!!!!!!) but I will refrain from replying as it's going waaayyy off topic. I think you are bonkers and don't agree with anything you say or the way you say it. You probably think I am some mis-guided 5 a day, eating all food groups nutter. Lets leave it at that as I have a loaf to get out my breadmaker - yum!!;)0 -
I get nasty one-offs and I'm looking for something suitable. The Zeno appeals on the one hand as it's chemical and fragrance free but the price makes it less so.
There's a lot of potions out there claiming this and that. I need something that can blitz these nasties but won't damage the skin or force me to inhale things I don't want to.
Any suggestions?0 -
That is frankly a childish and pathetic dig for a person who is meant to be a grown man Ted. Maybe the lack of carbs and a balanced diet is clouding your judgement on how to speak to people.;)
Until someone who is qualified to speak in the manner that you do rather than just some armchair internet 'expert' *cough*, then I will as usual treat your posts which, lets be honest, are only ever links to things - you don't really ever have any useful information yourself do you? - with the disdain that they deserve

The fact is the latest science supports my suggestions and you can't support your suggestions with recent research can you?Loopy_Girl wrote: »That is frankly a childish and pathetic dig for a person who is meant to be a grown man Ted. Do you really think it's best to continually treat the symptoms or eliminate the cause? My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

well i'm sure my monthly outbreaks would stop if i wasn't female and had hormonal cycles..... but that's not a cause i want to eliminate!
although thankfully my period of intense stress at work is over and there is already a marked improvement. :happyhear0 -
But why !!!!!! add to those hormonal levels with unnecessary additional inputs from you diet? You know the science shows that high carb intake results in high androgen levels. What is the point in adding fuel to the fire?melancholly wrote: »well i'm sure my monthly outbreaks would stop if i wasn't female and had hormonal cycles..... but that's not a cause i want to eliminate!

That is where you are completely wrong. I am a living, breathing and walking recent research to what I say. As I keep saying *sighs*, I had shocking adult acne and have recommended 2 things on this thread one of which - the Dermalogica range - I still use and guess what? Zit free for a year now so quite where you think I don't have recent research is beyond meTed_Hutchinson wrote: »The fact is the latest science supports my suggestions and you can't support your suggestions with recent research can you?
Really don't think there is any need for the swearing to melancholly either. You are coming across as a bit obsessive about your lifestyle and I really don't think you need to speak down to or swear at people - but then maybe you realise yourself how obsessive you are coming across and this is the only way to get attention....who knows

I used to have loads of zits for many years on a low fat diet. I felt tired, lathargic, and hungry and put on weight.
Out of desparation i tried the atkins diet which develops into a low Gi diet. My zits cleared, i feel full of energy and lost weight without felling hungry :T
My diet now consists of meat, cheese, eggs, fish, nuts, pulses, fruit (especially berries) and veg but no sweets, flour products, pasta, rice, potatoes. I.e, i have removed the high carb group with little nutrition and replaced it with high nutrition foods that are slower burn.
Occasionaly i have a carb binge which i usually regret because the zits return and i feel crap. I've spoken to GP's about this over the last few years who have no explantion and think its contrary to popular belief. My latest GP is on a low carb diet and confirms everything ive found. He thinks that weve been brain-washed over years to think low fat high carb diets are good but they actually lead to pale faced, spotty, cardiacs, fat diabetics that eat too many calories but are under nurished!Cash ISA rate 6.5% fixed for 2 years. Mortgage rate 0.75% = 5.75% profit on £75K = £4500 per year:j
Mortgages make money. Definitely don't wanabee mortgage free!0
