Well as sunshine is free and is the major source of vitamin d3 I'd like to know how to take a percentage of that. As for the cheap source I most frequently link toI can only provide you with a link and request you ask them to confirm whether or not they pay affiliates or offer discounts to people who recommend their products.. Well, that is, apart from the rants about Vit D3 that I'd swear you had a share in.
I repeat categorically I have no financial links to the sun or Bio Tech Pharmacal and I am sure they will confirm that is the case.
I always provide links to the sources I quote, it's a pity you don't.
I am continually shocked that people are prepared to take potentially dangerous prescribed medicines when there is good evidence safer more effective dietary and supplement regimes are readily, cheaply available which have good evidence and clear logical reasons to support their use.
The problem is the medical profession have been brain washed into thinking that patented synthetic chemicals must be better and safer than natural unpatented nutritional sources.
It may make me unpopular pointing out the latest research such as Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and other androgen excess-related conditions: can changes in dietary intake make a difference?a diet that is patterned after the type 2 diabetes diet. This diet includes an increase in fiber and a decrease in refined carbohydrates, as well as a decrease in trans and saturated fats and an increase in omega-3 and omega-9 fatty acids. Foods that contain anti-inflammatory compounds (fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E, and red wine) should also be emphasized. Evidence is provided for the impact of these dietary changes on improvements in the androgen profile of PCOS patients.
I don't particularly care if you don't like it or it annoys those who have a vested interest in promoting the use of potentially dangerous drugs with nasty side effects. It is always better to prevent the cause of a condition than to be for ever treating the symptoms.
The health benefits usually reported by those using a low carbohydrate diet go far beyond simply clearing up acne. The fact that health professionals haven't kept up to date with the latest research and don't realise how they have been misled by Industry-sponsored clinical research is their problem and not mine. You will get the drift of Taubes denouncement of current obesity research here but a more detailed referenced based argument is presented in his book The diet Delusion It will be out in paperback in the UK in Jan 09 so you may want to wait till then if your in moneysaving mode.
If you really think I am exaggerating just consider these recent papers first.
Do antidepressants really work? A clinicians' guide to evaluating the evidence.
Industry-sponsored ghostwriting in clinical trial reporting: a case study.in this case study from litigation, we show how ghostwriting of clinical trial results can contribute to the manipulation of data to favor the study medication. Study 329 for paroxetine pediatric use was negative for efficacy and positive for harm. Yet the ghostwritten publication from this study concluded that paroxetine provided evidence of efficacy and safety and continues to be influential. Despite the role of named authors in revisions of the manuscript, the sponsor company remained in control of the message.
