[...] simple fact is they should sell you only what you need and at a competitive price and not have the primary aim of extracting the maximum amount of cash from a customer because he or she isn't mechanically minded!
I know, you are correct. However, this is not an ideal world and they are there mainly to make money, not help the... uninitiated (). This also applies to banks, insurance companies and a lot of other institutions that "want to help you".

No sorry, not having that. These guys take the p*ss, they try it on everytime they see someone gullible in the unit.
There are "keen" outfits and those that are outright chancers, kwip carp take it to another level.:(:(I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

On the other hand, a lot of small local garages have survived the recession, due to the steady flow of work, putting right KwikFit's and National Tyres' "handywork".If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

Kwik Fit, we're the one to trust. (or maybe not)
I brought a tyre down to Kwik Fit to repair a puncture.
They phoned me and said it could not be repaired as the tube
was too badly damaged.
Quoted me £75 for the same grade of tyre, i said no thanks, of course.
So i brought it to Armstrong Beatties on Balloo Drive in Bangor
who said if it can't be repaired they will sell me the same tyre at £48.
Turned out they fixed the puncture for £11-50.
Not saying Kwik Fit were wrong of course.0 -
I headed in for a FULL SERVICE. I was called a day before informing me that the technician is not in so I would have to re-arrange for a weeks’ time resulting in me having to rearrange my plans. Furthermore I had new disks and brakes installed on vehicle, after leaving the test centre I was not given any advice on new brakes and how the car would react. This is standard information for when brakes are changed. In addition to this when I collected my car, my service book was not stamped leaving me waiting around for 10 minutes.
I then received a call from a technician regarding another query which initially raised which was a knocking noise I hear when driving, I was told at the test centre that they could not find what was causing it, when I received the call the technician asked for me to come back as they may know what the issue is. When I arrived back I was given a story that they need to push down on the wheels to see if there is any play with the suspension I stood outside and watched the technician get a tyre wrench and tighten my wheel nuts, I was appalled at what I saw, the mere fact that I was allowed to leave without my tyre nuts loose is an outrage, when confronted about this, this was denied. I am appalled that they would do this and then lie blatantly when I was stood watching him and saw for myself that the nuts themselves were not tight, on top of this the knocking noise was coming from the front not the back of the vehicle and the technician whet round to every tyre and tighten every nut.
Continuing on…After looking at my receipt I realised that I was over charged for spark plugs of the amount £23.20, this should have been included in the service as it states on your website. I rang the branch and they asked me to return for a third time to refund me.
I am truly outraged by the service which I have received from an establishment as well-known as Kwik-Fit. Having me visit the branch twice in one day and I still need to go back for my refund. This is costing me in petrol expenses and my time. I DOT NOT RECOMMEND0 -

Nobody does. It's a shame you didn't have a Google before booking your car in, you may have come across this six year old thread a little sooner and have saved yourself a bit of hassle- at least you know now for the future not to darken their doorstep ever again. Find a good one/two man operation local to you and use them- ask friends and family for recommendations.0 -

you google yourselves (not very often) and find a complaint and try to save face by using the MSE approved rep account is just shamefull.
its the same reply over and over again and often member post back saying you dont respond or uttered nothing in the way of a resolution.
i dont know whats worse, being ripped off or being ripped off and post it on the net only for the rip off merchants to find it comment on it and tell you to get intouch with them to justify them ripping you off.0 -

I have a question for you.
How did you manage to procure the contract to effect all mobility car tyre repair and replacement, it certainly wasn't based on customer service or satisfaction?, or do you disagree.
Last question, are you really a Cuikc Crap rep??I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
