I'm a bit concerned now, after reading this thread.

I only passed 6 months ago and my little C1 needs to go for an MOT and I stupidly pre-booked at Kwik-Fit for this Saturday.

£5 says it fails on something they can sort out for you.

    Tyres
    Brakes
    Exhaust

    Take your pick.

  • Had a friend who had an E92 M3. He use to take it to kwick fit for its service but after some bad experiences, now takes it to a Toyota main dealer who seem to provide a fantastic service. 30% cheaper than BMW main dealers too!

    Is you darkmatter?

No you didn't. It's all lies because you're a pathetic little Walter Mitty loser.

As for discs - the Minimum Thickness of a Brake Disc is stamped on the Disc during manufacture. As a guide any wear of more 1.2mm may fail an MOT.
    .
cant see the min thickness stamp on rusted steel.

Agreed. Just don't use them. I'm actually helping a friend right now with his Astra. They have heat shields on the back box and the holes where the nuts are have rotted away, so the shield is just flapping about.

Kwik Fit have said he needs a new heat shield...

I say two washers and it'll be fine ;)
i say all the studs will snap when it sees you coming with a ratchet, might as well just pull it off.
