70p seems a bit steep. I think the Tesco bag for life is 10p.0

M&S do good reusable bags. They're more pricey than the plastic ones, but they really gold up. We have a large and small. We also take our backpacks with us, since we walk to the grocery store for our weekly shop.
I'm glad they're starting to charge. I'm so sick of plastic bags tumbling down the street, caught telephone pole wires. It's so nasty to have to avoid bags all the time. If people would use their brain and use a trash can, maybe asda wouldn't have to charge.0 -
Speaking of price increases, produce is unbelievable these days. 6 months ago lemons were 15p, peppers were 50p..they now cost 28p and 89p!!!!0

It's not just Asda's where you'll find an increase - all stores have hiked the prices up. I feel some are genuine and some not. I wouldn't mind if my wages had gone up too.....Well, not so much..
What........
No comment on "virgin" bags:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Personally I think it is just a gimmick. Yes we use fewer plastic bags but I'm now having to buy plastic bin liners instead.... net saving to the environment is zero.0
