yup I agree with that0 -
i think you went in there looking for a fight though
no I honestly didnt - I was angry about the judge and when he said " look ive got 30 odd cases just like this today so lets just move it on shall we ? " it didnt go down to well, he said that what the CCCS were suggesting was "unworkable" - so calling him a sill old git,I thought was a mild interpretation of how i really felt about him and wouldnt offend anyone - how wrong was I?!!
maybe if I had added that he was "on the level" or "on the square" I wouldnt have gotten the vitriol !!

The original post contained no information needed to answer the question and opened with a pretty rude offensive and personal rant against the legal staff involved in the process, ageist and plain abusive. This put people's backs up.
They then implied they wanted to keep the equity in the house rather than pay off the debts (although I'm not sure they meant that - it was all just very incoherent) and that was the CO objection - which further irritated people and demanded to know why they weren't getting more helpful replies.
They did actually get quite a lot of useful advice although a few just rose to the bait to respond to the abusive, aggressive nature of the OP.
Scattering his/her posts with comments accusing the legal staff and other posters with shouty words and REALLY OFFENSIVE FILTHY-MOUTHED language further antagonised people. To be honest if the original poster had not used such foul language and had asked a clear factual question and then tried to inflame the situation they'd have had a different response.
The OP said some pretty nasty stuff about older people not being able to write properly and being senile etc....
it was never really offensive and foul mouthed ?!
and either the judge couldnt write properly or the girl/man translating couldnt read properly as the figure that was sent to us was 3 times what it should have been and sent my partner over the edge when we read it - really !

I haven't seen the origional thread so I cannot comment on the specifics from that. I will comment on some generalisations that appear to be made on other parts of this site about DFW.
There seems to be a perception that everyone on the DFW board is trying to dodge paying back debts which obviously is not the case.
there seems to be a thought process, particularly in the bank account/credit card/loans board that reclaiming charges/ppi means that everyone will end up paying higher fee's or earning less interest. I have seen alot of post from people who feel they will lose out and they point the finger of blame mainly at this board.
I also think that we all need to get over some predjudices regarding debt. Not all debt is 'bad debt'. there is quite a few members of this board that are here because they realised they were spending excessivly and joined for help reigning in spending and prioratising debts before they got to an unmanagable level.
I'm just waffling now, its far to late for coherant thought. I think what i'm trying to say is keep posts polite and to the point, If needed draft a post in notepad/word, have a coffee then re-read. Remove any emotional outbursts, they are just fluff and confuse the issue. If you get abuse do not retaliate but report the poster if you feel it is truely offensive and not just a difference of opinion. Thank posters who help you. Someone who wants to pick a fight will only get that fight if you retaliant so don't retaliate.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
