Ahhhhhh I have just dropped a baking tray full of oven chips on the kitchen floor, they were for dinner:mad:

I was just going to scrape them up and bung them back in the oven but my oldest son heard the crash and was standing outside the kitchen door (we have glass panels in it and I keep it closed when cooking otherwise it sets the smoke alarm off or dinner gong as the rest of the family call it:rolleyes: )

He just knocked on the glass shook his head and said "Dont even think about it"! I said "well I will just put your Dads back in then and we will just have the chicken and salad".....he seems happy with that arrangement:rotfl:

I had better check for fluff before putting them on his plate......waste not want not eh?
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

carpet is fitted - slight problem that there wasn't quite enough carpet (whoops), used the estate agent details and it seems the room is a foot wider! He's done a join and the sofa bed will be over it so won't see it. The pile goes in a different direction so slightly visible, but not particularly unless it's pointed out. Bet the OH sees it..........

    Brownies - done

    Rocky Road bars - done

banana and date bars - done - they are a bit dry, should have used a bit more butter than the recipe said, but hey ho

Chocolate covered flapjacks..........looked great - had a disaster and they are stuck to the greaseproof. Think I might pop them back in the oven for 5 minutes to see if they slightly melt and unstick.

Carrot and date cake - was putting in the oven whilst on the phone to my dad. Just realised the oven wasn't switched on, but was still warm - aarrggh! Whacked it on and I'm hoping for the best!
