My mum wanted to call me Penelope Ann, but my dad shortened it to Ploppy-Ann.....

And my dad used to call me Tilly-Floss when I was little, hence my user name

Just been to and got back from work with an unexpected afternoon off:j

My classroom was being used for exams so (obviously nobody told me or the students):rolleyes: So I did a bit of exam practice with them and sent them on their way.

My afternoon session has been cancelled so I only have to go in tonight 6-8.30:D

I should be doing catchup housework but I say sod it! Its an afternoon off for free:j

Feeling slightly better than I did yesterday:o

Oooo someone has stolen the sun... it was so bright here this morning, and now its gone a bit gloomy... just in time for my lunch time bank run :rolleyes:

Hope everyone is doing well... im shattered. I was up late watching films, and then my sister called me at 3am to tell me one of her cats was having her kittens, and then again at 5am (but i was up as my 2 nutty cats have now decided that 4.30am is breakfast time... :eek: )... roll on 5.30! :rotfl:

Lovely and sunny here, just hung out another load of washing although I have been on the phone to a friend for over an hour.....she could talk a glass eye to sleep that one although I am just as bad!

Nothing nicer than a sneaky afternoon off, having a skive and talking to a good friend:D

just got back from my course and I'm waiting now for the carpet fitters to turn up with (hopefully ) the carpet in their van. I will be so gutted if it wasn't there when they went to get it because it has been at the shop being stored for so long. Even OH kind of 'gulps' each time I mention the subject!!! If all goes well, I'm going to be naughty and tell him that I have to have the last remaining one out of storage within 4 weeks. That'll shift him

I didn't get a card from the OH - he really doesn't 'do' cards - but I got 2 presents - don't think he would dare not do anything after doing literally nothing last year!!!

I got a pack of 3 abstract paintings in shades of brown and cream, to put on the wall of the newly decorated bedroom and a Sony Walkman 8gb video/photo/music player thingy. I haven't even got a basic mp3 player, so it's a bit of a new thing for me!!!!! He said I thought I'd like it whilst I was out with Charlie.

As I was leaving, I said - what's happening tonight and he said 'oh, do you want to go out?' - of course I do!!!!!!!!!! So, nothing planned yet, but we'll be going out. Even if it's a couple of pints a bag of crisps in the pub, that'll do me.

Right, got to crack on - got flapjackes, brownies, banana and date bars and a carrot and date cake to make! :eek:
