morning everyone, happy birthday keren, I hope OH has some lovely surprises for you today.

If she gets a card without prompting- that'll be surprise enough.

I've picked out a name for orlandia bean (Scarlet Rose), hubby doesn't like it though grrr, he want's something which will translate into french (he's french canadian). I think it's pretty and goes with the other girls names. Oh well we have 6 months to agree thank heavens ;) because I hate everything he likes. We need something slightly rock and roll without being too silly.

    Spiky Rose?
    Wilted Rose?

    :rotfl:

    Or more seriously...

    Alice Rose
    Layla Rose

Personally Orlandia Bean is quite good... ;)

    Morning everyone, birthday greetings Keren.
I like the name, Toto very, Gone with The Wind! You know she will have to marry a Rhet(sp?) Butler.
Jacs, hope he and you are ok, with the changed arrangements. I am sure it will work out.x
Jinky, sorry you are getting grief, i know Mr. B, doesn't give me any for being on here..one of his good points! I have found it very useful, on here, for getting a more balanced veiw on problems, if that makes sense, so i actually think we have been a better as a couple.
I know I can have a dig at him, but at least on here (and he has read them) i can get it off my chest a bit, and feel better for it. It also make him realise how i feel, as i am good at clamming up when in a bad mood.He is now a big fan of linda, and looks forward to having a read, i think he follows a couple of other diaries as well, so why not let him have a join in?
    To everyone else Hellox

Completely off topic, but can I ask your advise?

I had a good day out with my best mate yesterday, but she lied to me  ...Am I just making a mountain out of a mole hill or do I have a right to be angry at her for lying to me??

    Lucy

Personally, I'd say something. I certainly did 15 years ago when a 'friend' cancelled a night out as she was heh-heh full of cold. She'd made a remarkable recovery when we saw her in the pub 2 hours later. She hadn't realised that we knew her boyfriend and he'd said that if we were out, we should call in to the pub for a drink! We just said to the friend that we'd rather she simply say that she was going out for a drink with her boyfriend and had to cancel our plans.

Morning, bright blue sky & sunshine on the Lancashire coast today :D

Lucy, why not just say something like "Oh suchabody mentioned that you were in the pub on Saturday night, you should have called me as it would have been good to meet up for a drink & sort out our plans for our day out. Never mind, maybe next time you manage to get here early, eh?" then you know that she knows that you know she fibbed to you (sounds a bit like a Dr Hook song :p)

Hellox to you too.. and everyone :D

    Happy Birthday Keren!

Toto - I think Scarlet is lovely, I like Layla too though Z, known a couple of Laylas (though one was spelt 'Leila') and they were both lovely girls :)

Lucy - I wonder if your friend was a bit embarrassed about being late and thought it would be better to make up an excuse? Or maybe she just didn't feel like going out and thought you'd be offended if she said that? If it's going to bother you then maybe best to bring it up and clear the air, but if you think you can let it go then maybe just think she has her reasons... Sorry that's not much help! :o

    Thanks guys.

I was chatting to my Mother about it last night and she said I should ask her about it. I might just send her a text and say 'You didn't say you were down on Saturday, I would have gone for a drink with you' That way she knows, I know, but I hope it doesn't sound like I am having to much of a go at her.

It does help that the friend who told me is her ex (but he wouldn't be just saying it to have a dig, if that makes sense.) Apparently he was playing golf with her OH at about the time they should have be in the car travelling down

But I have just cheered myself up by cancelling my car insurance so I can save myself £120 a year and get £75 cashback :D Go me!!!!

I get that completely, but I know that they were at the pub on Saturday night and my friend accidently dropped her in it :o

I'm not really sure what to do... I don't want to make her angry, but I am not happy about it.

Maybe it is just a mountian out of a mole hill
