I think that now you have enabled TFTP you should follow the instructions regarding Abnormal Firmware Conditions here
You won't be able to re-flash the firmware using telnet. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
there is a space between the httpport and the "?"
sol@europa:~$ telnet 10.10.1.1 Trying 10.10.1.1... Connected to 10.10.1.1. Escape character is '^]'. Password: *** WARNING ****************************************************************** * System has no password. * * Please set password, using "sys passwd" commands. * ****************************************************************************** Type ? for command help > mngt httpport ? %% mngt httpport <Telnet port> %% Current setting is 80. >

OK a couple more questions: First when I added the space I got exactly the smae reading S0litaire. I tried 10.0.0.1:80 on a browser page and it didn't like that either.
The example on the abnormal load files, gives a .bin file but I have either a .all or a .rst, so which should I use?
I take it I should make sure the router is in this mode via the off, paperclip, on method?

Use the ".ALL" file!
If you use the ".rst" you loose your username and password (so make sure you have them written down somewhere!)draytec_support wrote:Note : The RST file will clear out all existing router settings back to factory
defaults. You must use the RST file if you are upgrading from firmware 2.1r or
earlier, or experience unusual results after upgrading with the ALL file.
The special 'UK2' version of the firmware is only for use where the
standard firmware cannot sync. reliably on your ADSL line, for example
on very long line with high attenuation. Use the standard firmware otherwise.
Do not then attempt to restore old settings from a backup file made with
from previous firmware or from another model. After upgrading, check that
your web configurator shows the firmware version/build listed above.Laters

Yes I have written down the login name/pwd.
So I am loading the .all file via the TFTP utility you gave me the path to? Sorry just wanting to be sure? and via the wired connection with the windows firewall off.
Anything else?

Yup everything sounds fine!
Try the ALL first, if you power down the router and power it back up and you are STILL having the problem then do the same using the RST file.Laters

The .all file ran fine, however, still no browser access:
File System Invalid.
The file system of Web-based UI is inconsistent with router's firmware.
Please check the firmware version.
Looks like I have to resort to the .rst file after all, though it has not gone automatically into TFTP mode as it said it would.
Hang on though, if I run the .rst file and it doesn't give me a log on screen, then I cannot add the id/pwd and have no internet. Arghh!

EEK!!
it's the chance you take..
Relax!
When you log back on, just enter in your username and password:D
Think it will be fine!
Just make sure you restart the router by pulling the power plug out of it's back before you try anything else!Laters
