And we are frequent visitors - all dd's grandparents still live there and various other relations. Some say we should just move back rather than keep wearing out the M62...

Oh I'm confused! Ok, so Hull is actually called Kingston Upon Hull? Hmm, I know the other end of the M62 lol.
Pigpen, if Hull get into the premiership, I'll come and visit you when Everton play them. (I think you're fairly safe)

Well, the house is starting to look tidier but my ironing pile is tottering - guessthat's the next to tackle - i'll beginwith a HHI and see where I go from there - anyone else fancy a HHI from 2.30 - 3.00? Lets get rid of the piles(of ironing tee hee)
I'd rather be watching CSI!0 -
Decided to start from back door and work in so rear hall and downstairs loo deep cleaned - plus WM and TD filters, etc. Three lots of DH tools dumped in the garage. Baskets removed from under kitchen table and put on hatshelf - one for gardening stuff, one for sun hats etc, and one for dog stuff. Only been under the table for about six weeks.
Kitchen next. HHC till 2.50 when I have to collect DS1.
taurusgb - are you reading anything interesting? I have nothing to read and have re-read everything too recently to start again. Not a great fan of modern fiction so I need to find a new 'old' author who was suitably prolific!'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
He swore lots, especially when another bolt snapped and we can't get a new one until tomorrow, so the car is sat on the floor with a closed jack sort of keeping it up as the axle stand also broke, stupid car, stupid garage for not having the bolts and stupid bolt for snapping. Anyway that stopped play, he's now gone out with his Mother (who's barely said 2 words to the boys since she came back, ignorant witch) so I'll have tantrums when I either have to drag DS2 home instead of the park to get DS1 or otherway round if someone watches DS2 for me and DS1 doesn't want to go back to the park to get his brother. Joys.
I have tidied the kitchen, emptied the DW and done the filter, that's about it so far. Soft play tonight and taking DS2s friend with us so DP had better be back! Need to go collect DS2 in a mo so will do online banking etc now.One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Hi to all the newbies.
Kitchen and dining room all sparkly now.
Got some upvc cleaner from Aldi for less than £1.50 and it is fantastic. The conservatory frames and ledges look great. Will have to attack the outside next. The roof is starting to turn green - ugh.
Also done 4 pages of the kids scrapbooks - they are looking pretty good considering this is my first attempt.
Just got the dinner to do and some ironing this evening. Just off to the doctors in a minute so DH is having to get the kids from school - about time he made himself useful lol.0 -
Afternoon - quite a nice day here, apart from some muppet starting a fire on the allotments out the back, and the police knocking on the door to tell us the fire may have been contaminated with asbestos so don't go out.
So, one load of washing that was on the line is now rewashed. I'm pretty peeved as two of the baby's grobags were out there, and they won't dry now inside, and can't go outside again today. Some people are real tools aren't they.
We did go out for a lovely walk at Rother Valley country park - spent about 2 hours there and DS1 had a lovely time.
My other good news of the day was i weighed myself this morning and it came in at 11st5. That is 5Ibs less than when i got married, and i spent ages dieting to do that. That is a good incentive to breastfeed. I think i will try to get to about 10 1/2 stone. It will be the lightest i have been in about 8 years. And i am eating like a pig at the moment.
Suppose i should try and do some flying - DH is having a bath after cutting his hair. DS1 is napping after all that exercise.
