  • I've abandoned that thread. There are always some people who will view money as a right and I am not one of them. Forks to it.

That would be the Terry Pratchett/Discworldian variation on fork. A good use of which in context would be 'kicked him inna fork' ;)

Night night gents, I'm away off to my boudoir for some sweet dreams:A

    Honestly... having now witnessed

    a) one person who thinks that because he can't spend any more money on a card he shouldn't pay back the balance he ran up
    b) another who wants to wipe out their debt with a legal technicality
    c) some people who are very angry at their bank for opting them into something which won't affect them in the slightest and they would have been blissfully unaware of had the bank not sent them a letter

I'm rapidly losing my remaining faith in humanity, and considering I had very little to begin with that's saying something.

Gah. Well, on topic for the thread, does HSBC count as sub-prime, considering my credit score is awful? :D

Well, looks like the thread has been deleted, never mind, just keep moving forward in life I guess, leaving the nay-sayers behind to wallow in their own.... poo.jpg;)
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Technically not, but you appear to have been there and done the sub-prime bit:) Everyone's welcome here though, pull up a bean bag and make sure you don't eat all the smarties:)

    Hi Everyone,
I really need some help as Vanquis are starting to drive me mad !, I made an online application on 6th June, got the phone call from them telling me I had been accepted with a £250 limit on the 13th June and also told my card would be with me in 14 days (Also told about the 39p per £100 insurance on the card and took that out and was welcomed to Vanquis).

Last Friday after still hearing nothing I call them and was told the card had not yet been made up, but I should have it by Tuesday or Wednesday, so today I phone them and they tell me that I should hear within the next few weeks as my application is still being processed and has only been 'Provisionally Approved' !.

Is this true or surely the phone call means I was accepted ?, it seems like one department does not know what the other is doing, and I really do not want to get my hopes up if I have no chance of getting this card.

    Thanks.
