I applied in November. This was my 2nd statement from them.

    I am quite surprised actually!

I really want to go to San Francisco. If I get a big enough limit on my CC I am going to whack it on there

Oh wow that's quite big increases isn't it?

Just got my 2nd statement from them too. I feel such a sense of fulfillment when I pay off the balance - am I mad!!!!
  • I applied for a credit account with Express Gifts/Studio before last xmas and it was declined. I received a letter from them confirming this.

However, they could offer me a 'cash with order account' if I wanted to purchase any goods from them and pay upfront.

I forgot all about them until today, when I received an alert from Equifax reading that a new credit agreement has been set up and added to my file by Express Gifts/Studio.
During the same time I checked my Experian Credit Report and found a similar new agreement added to my file by the same people.

I telephoned them this evening to query and could not get any rational answer apart from to contact their Head Office in writing?

Why are they reporting my details to the Credit Reference Agencies when they declined a credit account - and I don't have any credit agreement with them?
  • I just opened an account with Express Gifts/Studio also

great city to go to but with the exchange rate as it is,i would wait till it improved a fair bit.Mind you when i was there,i had £1500 spending money for ten days, didnt scrounge on anything and the OH and me still came back with over £500:j not an expensive city to visit.

If you re-apply for Aqua in 6 months and make sure there is no other payment problems i would be surprised if you don't get one.
Your Vanquis should of had at least one limit increase by then. Was your starting limit £500 if i remember. HTH
Do you have a catalogue they seem to be good credit builders!

nah 250, only got my first statement, all is well

also i have a question about searches, i have 35, but it says for the last 6 months but its howing about 50 lol so i checked all the ones that are 6 months old

do the searches drop off 6 months exactly to the day they wer placed, or at the end of the month?

because if i dont do anything for the next 6 months ill have about 4 searches and hopefully increases from vanquis

but i just went crazy when i turn 18 just applied for everything, luckily i got rejected and found this place

bot im still 18, but actualli have an OK credit rating, in 6 months it should be good and by the end of the year im looking for it to be excelent

so i basically started from scratch last March, so by then most of the searches will go and i wont aply for anything until June where ill balance trasnfer onto a flybe card or something seeing as they give good rates

this site is a godsend, i hope it was fate i found this before i f*cked up my finances but Im doin OK at the moment, even moved out (well got kicked out) so now im on my own

things are looking up for me
