Hi Swinnie and welcome.
Bad news about the CCJ. I know for sure that you can't have 2 seperate records on your credit report for the same account. Now I know you can't have them for the same account at the same time, but I'm guessing Egg recorded it from 2001 to 2007 and then Crapquest from 2007 to present, so they never overlapped each other? Am I making sense lol. I take it the Crapquest one appeared after the Egg one dropped off.
I would do one of two things (or both). Experian and Equifax have to rectify a record if it is wrong. You could drop them a message online to say that there are 2 records for the same account and then they have to investigate with Egg and CQ, and then report back their findings. Or you could write to Capquest and ask them for proof of the notice of default that they would have sent out to you. If they cannot provide this proof then you can ask for the record to be deleted from your credit report.
I hope I'm making sense - it's late and I'm tired lol.
Let us know how you get on0 -

In 2001 I defaulted on my Egg card which was on my file until 2007. I had genuinely forgotten about the debt until I joined Credit Expert and viewed my Experian file to find a CCJ registered by Capquest in 2007 who bought the debt from Egg, therefore, I have another 6 years of nasties on my file making 12 years for one debt.
I did not receive a court summons so did not know anything about the CCJ until I read my file when I paid the debt off immediately. I applied to the court to have the judgement set aside and appeared in court in person. The judge said he felt the court were not to blame (b****ard) and rejected my application which was about 2 months ago.
Any ideas or suggestions.
This sub prime club has given me a good kick up the !!! and made me realise it is possible to clean up your credit file with the help of you guys. Keep it going forever.:T

Hey Sutton,
OH went to see the Spurs game last night at White Hart Lane and kept calling me to see if I could see him on the telly lol. He then came home and kept watching Sky Sports News and apparently saw himself 3 times behind some fat bloke lol
I can't imagine anything worse - standing there in sub zero temperatures :snow_laug0 -

JJB is a mastercard credit card, dont know about credit limit, still not heard anything yet, hopefully it wont be long. Most posters on here have only got small limits, not too fussed as it will be a lower interest rate than my cap one card:beer:Last Cigarette 24/6/090
