Evening people, applied for a Barclaycard yesterday but got the "we will let you know later" response.

Is that their 'polite' way of saying no?

Yes, you got it in one
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

hi guys hope you dont mind me jumping in your lovely thread :D

    quick advice really.

i got 2 cards atm 1 virgin, 1 barclaycard. just got accepted on tesco cc 0% for 14months yesterday so will transfer the bulk of my debt from barclaycard to this one but will still have some left over on barclaycard. plus my 0% deal on virgin is going to be running out early next year so will be looking at getting that shifted to another card too.

as im with virgin (mbna) and barclaycard it seems im already with two cc companies that offer good long term 0% balance transfer deals. also now im with tesco it means thats another one down.

have i missed any that i can apply for long term 0% balance transfer that would help in me transferring the rest of my barclaycard debt and my virgin one next year. i intend to cut up my barclaycard once the debt has been shifted because they never give me any good deals and also i could then use them again at a future date.

your help is much appreciated! :D

    Hi!

Sorry your post got missed :o

Tbh, there's very few of us Sub Primers who have 0% cards!!! We get excited at being accepted for 34% apr lol

I've got an MBNA with a 1.9% BT for 9 months, but that's prob as close to 0% as I'll get! I believe Cap 1 do a 0% BT for 14 months, but you need to have squeaky clean credit for that.

    Sorry I couldn't be more help :o

Is there some reason the pricks can't just say no outright instead of making you wait to hear it in writing then?

Hi guys, I was wondering are Lloyds TSB the only bank to not offer a Sub-Prime credit card? Their my main bank account, yet I cannot get a credit card with them, but I have Barclays Initial, Halifax Standard and Capital One, Aqua etc, but Lloyds have like two credit cards and both you have to have sqeaky clean files? Does anyone know if Lloyds intend on introducing a sub-prime card?

    Hi there,

Just writing for some advice :-) I have a Sony, American Express Credit Card at 34%, with £3k on it. I have tried calling them and they won't lower the rate. I was wondering if anyone else had previously had any luck in lowering the rate with them? I have also applied for a three other 0% credit cards but was refused. Has anyone any suggestions on what I should do now, as I really really need to get this debt reduced.

    Many thanks
