    Hi Sammy
In respect of my RBS default I dont actually owe them any money so will go into the branch and get them to sort it, thats what they did for the last one, took a few months but at least they did it, my son whom I have got into the sub prime for his first cc got accepted by Cap 1 dont know his limit yet but got his PIN on Friday so hopefully get his card tomorrow, also told him to pay it of in full each month as it will strengthen his credit rating for getting a mortgage in the future.

I would have thought so if they are going to accept you, they just seem to be turning people away at the moment.

Im not sure if it actually makes a difference does it whether you pay cards off in full each month or make the minimum,? i thought either way its satisfactory as long as payments are being made on time.

well my cap 1 default got referred to a DCA and i put a dispute notice on my credit file and the credit agency contacted them and within 15 days i had it removed. it couldnt of been easier.

Is your one with a DCA now and if so which one?

It went to Debitas which is in-house and I paid it long before I asked them to remove the default. I have a Cap 1 card now as well!
  • hi all my oh has just applied for the barclaycard online and it did not say no just that they needed more time.Is this the norm or will it just be a no.

    Hello all

I am new and have been accepted for a capital one card, I have been given a £500 limit woo, which means my credit status is better. I have received my pin but just wondered how long it will take for me to get my card.

Thanks for the information. What is the best way to make sure that my credit rating improves should I use the card for small purchases only and then pay them off or do I do the big purchases. Really want to sort my credit rating out as want to buy a house next year and want to be able to get a mortgage,.
