Hi just wondered if any one can help

in the past (probably5-10)years ago i was naughty and didnt repay credit cards loans etc.probably got defaults,ccjs etc but recently applied for a vanquis card lo and behold £250 credit limt,next£200 limit littlewoods £400
jd williams £125
so feeling pretty good with myself thought id try barclaycard but when i applied on line it gave me the message we will look into it type of answer
that was over 3 weeks ago and still no letter,e-mail or any reply
can anyone shed any light onto this,should i just forget it ,have i been rejected,could there be 1 in the post

got rejected by argos,m+s and a couple of others
and also how much damage is caused by going over credit limits

can anyone help please

Just need to confirm they don't search Experian!

iv cancelled my vanqiuis and aqua now as they have the highest interest rates.
Keeping my flybe, easyet, halifax, cap one and barclaycard initial for now but I may end up cancelling the capital one as the credit limit SUCKS.

No more apps from me anywhooooooo.

And yes they just search equifax I think london

do you have access to Experian ? The only reason I ask is I have hardly any searches with Equifax .

I don't know if the easyjet card also searches equifax, but they do search Experian.

The search comes up as CITIFINANCIAL EUROPE PLC.

If a pin to a new cc hasn't been recived should i be worried ?

It will be used just for internet purchases so a pin isn't required.

I got the flybe card last saturday do you think i should have got the pin by now ?

How long did it take for other people

I just logged into my Halifax to see if there was any customer offers on atm and its says the webpage is down but while i was there it said my available credit was more than it should be and thats when i noticed they'd put my credit limit up from 1300 to 1800, i've had my card for a year. I must be becoming one of those credit worthy people i used to envy lol.
