hi all just new here, have been lurking for several months and love this thread. I want to thank you all. I have tried several cards and couldnt get monument, nor vanquis nor aqua and got 100 limit only with capital one. On seeing this thread i decided to bite the bullet and try flybe never expecting in million years to be accepted. I applied last wednesday and got the 7- 10 days response i could have kicked myself as have about 30 seearches in past 6 months and had vowed wasnt applyin until may june time til some dropped off. Well i came home from work this evening to find a flybe card with a 2k limit. Im in absoloute shock but totally over the moon. I can continue to budget as i have been and put the card away to help with my xmas presents and little things i will need. i will not go mad on it as i have learned the hard way but it takes so much pressure off me now. Thanks again everyone as i wouldnt have known about it if not for reading here. and i would say to anyone in despair as i was do not give up hope. Enjoy reading here every day and hope to become regular poster.

Hi Irish Girl and a warm welcome . Wow, what a fab post - that is fantatsic news. Isn't it exciting when you get accepted after months/years of being rejected. As daft as it sounds it does make you feel part of "normal" society lol. I think we've all learnt the hard way and are now 1000 times more careful of credit and how to use it wisely. Run the account well and you will see an improvemen on your file.

Hello irishgirl and welcome, well done on the flybe card! :beer: :j It is a great feeling when you are least expecting to be accepted, flybe are one of the few companies who search Equifax only as most other card providers search Experian which is where most of your searches will be. So, are you gonna spoil yourself with something on your new card?

well i got declined for a A&L card cause i have a MBNA card cause i havent had it longer than 6-12 months so they can see how i manage it

I,d take the bike over her or the credit card/limit the bikes worth 20 grand all day long lol.. so could use it for a week or 2 and then sell it.
