Nice rows of green ticks there Proliant!

Being a stingy person, I am going to order my Equifax report (one of the two Cap1 free annual Equifax reports) in late July when most of my lender updates the report (normally after 11th and 22nd for me).

I notice Cap1 did not include "payment" in your credit history but only reported credit limit and balance. Maybe this information will be included from now on?
Not sure, why have credit card lenders gone in to so much detail with this?

    Hello all,

Can I please join the club?
I got my Capital One card today with a £200 limit - I must have a really bad rating then?

Despite not being registered on the Electoral roll here I don't see why it would be so bad - I have overdrafts, have an Abbey credit card, and have had credit cards previously but no problems with them.

Anyway, it has a lovely black kitty on the card (easily pleased) and I only want it for bits and bobs each month and then I will always pay when I get my statement, like I was with my Abbey card before I transferred some of my bank debt onto it for the 0% :)

So that they can differentiate between borrowers, Proliant. It's not enough for them just to see how you manage your monthly debt, they wanna see how much of it you manage.

Strange, how did that happen? How much did they give you to spend?

Very strange indeed. I have been given £250. I activated it and spent something online (not got a pin yet) and the payment went through fine. I can't believe they gave me it though lol

Hello CheeseCat and welcome to Sub Prime Credit Card Club, well done on the Capital One card, it is quite a useful tool for sorting out your credit and Cap 1 are a very good company to deal with too.

Nah dont worry. Cap1 and other sub prime CC's start off by giving you a low limit. I think with cap1 if you pay on time for 3 months they review your limit.

Hey darcy, how is it going, have you kept away from the apply button?

Thanks Proliant and Danny, I had a Capital One card a few years ago now (I think I got it when I turned 18) but I ended up being silly with it and spent up to the limit (which was only £400 at the time) but I did end up getting an Egg card and then my Abbey card and constantly transferring the balance until it was gone!

Come to think of it I think Abbey only gave me £400 at first, but it is £2300 now  it just amuses me I seemed to get accepted for more cards and such when I was a student than I do these days! ;)
