I'm one of those with the Capital Once card and it's been fine so far. I only have a limit of £200 and have paid it on time every month for the past year. Not sure if it's made a great impact on my credit score but I'm sure it will be helping in some way.

No probs with it thus far as I pay via BACS on payday.

Hi,
I applied for the bank of scotland one last week and got the same spiel about waiting. I have yet to hear back! Odd thing is that they must have checked experian (don't have online access to that anymore as my free trial ran out). I am using the equifax free trial at the moment and no check has been done on that . I would have thought HBOS would use the same CRA for everything.


Anyway, let me know how you get on.

update update!!!

i have just recieved email from eversheds after complining about defaults added on my file 6 years after bankruptcy by max recovery.

as of this afternoon they have instructed the crs to remove them !!!

a result at last!!

credit score should go up now ill wait a bit then apply for a 0% card.

still dont think ill get one but happy with this result.
its all down to advice from mr p and other on here so a big fat thank you x:beer: :j

i just wrote an email to an address i got from a post on here, they wrote to me a week later asking for copy of report and copy of bankruptcy cert, i couldnt wait to post them so scanned them and emailed them back yeasterday, and hey presto taken off today.

told them that they were breaching data p act and they were illegal and false entrys. so it worked well. big thanks to all who advised;) louise
