Tesco misprice policy discussion area

Hope I'm keeping in the rules here..
He claimed not to be deliberately seeking out a misprice refund..that is why!
surely most of the point in this is to try and get tesco to be fair, so many other customers aren't stung. If he was one of those 'innocent' people getting stung then he wouldn't have known to go straight for a refund..thats all..
And, surely this thread was meant for discussion on this topic..why hpuld we move any comments to the MS arms?Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
Someone tell me why I am getting into such a heated discussion over this....!?
I don't even shop at tesco..I just keep an eye on this thread out of interest, and because I have been actually screwed over by my regular supermarket (sainsburys) and can use these issues as ammunition for genuine complaints.Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
Did I read that right ? someone has managed to get 4 mispriced computers ? that is one hell of a refund .......... I would hate to confront the Manager on that issue, is that about £1900.00 worth of computers free ? (it makes my Jem cd refund and hassle look very insignificant).
I am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL

I for one will continue to post my opinion even if it doesn't go along with the masses because that's what free speech is all about. If a little criticism upsets posters then if you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen.
I don't think describing the users of this forum as sycophants can be described as being nice to other moneysavers...
But what do i know? Just off for tea and biscuits with some of my sycophant friends :grouphug:
sometimes I wonder if the noisiest critics arent perhaps suffering from a touch of the green eyed monster? Just a thought :hello: don't beat me up...I'll shut up now as this debate could go on forever..and frankly it's becoming a bit yawnsome:silenced:
In fact, forget the tea and biscuits...Might just toddle off to watch a DVD with a bit of cheese on toast... :rotfl:0 -
Well I hope your dvd and tea and biscuits are gratis , thanks to tesco..!
otherwise you have clearly been ripped off!
why would anything in a discusion that is unfavourable be unacceptable?
fair enugh if it is an insult, or an unprovoked attack, but can't we all just say what we think!?Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -

I guess it gives 'computers for schools' a whole different meaning! Who needs the vouchers... crazy! 4 is OTT in my opinion... how did you get them in 4 different trollies, AND, make sure they didnt see the price on the checkout!0 -

Because you feel a wrong is being done perhaps?
Debate about the policy is always welcome IMO. I always try to reread my posts to check, whilst statng my opinion, that I don't offend anyone as that is not my intention...debate is. It leaves you in a strong position if they become offensive for one thing!
I struggle with the posters who come across as believing this policy is their right. It isn't a right. I find it quite amusing actually when you get posts in this thread that are rarr rarr trading standards rarr rarr think of all the people being overcharged...and then you get 5 or 6 people thanking that poster!
I think Ben500 pointed out that if Tesco offered no incentive to find misprices, they wouldn't have so many found. How many people go to get a refund for a 5p difference between SEL and till price in Sainsbury? Are those shoppers who are unaware they've been overcharged in Sainsbury worth less than Tesco shoppers who are unaware they've been overcharged? Why do some people on here come across as having a personal crusade against misprices in Tesco?
By bulk buying in Tesco, I really don't think you are making a point to the company about the overcharge, you're just benefitting yourself and your friends. Tesco have had misprices for years. Bulk buying isn't going to change it. Do you really think that there haven't been people taking advantage of this policy for years, long before MSE was born? And do you really care about all the other shoppers being overcharged? Or is it just something you type to make you feel you're a lone crusader against Tesco (done it myself, so pointing at me with this one too)
Legally, they don't have to offer R +R, else the other supermarkets would all have to too. I am grateful they do R+R as it keeps a little extra money in my purse. It did change my shopping habits when I realised the full implications, they've now changed back due to a personal shift in feelings over the issue.
However, saying all that, because Tesco do offer R +R, they should honour it in all cases. Tesco will never be able to tell the motives of those shoppers who do use R +R, but I think they can take further steps within the policy to ensure they are no longer taken for a ride by some people.
PS Apologies for ranting...:oWho made hogs and dogs and frogs?
