I have consulted my hong kong book of hong kong fu ! and
I wouldn't be so sure of this, put the WK 4 pack at start of items and then put other stuff, etc, etc, after, then hand the young naive and inexperienced checkout person you have carefully selected some vouchers WK £3, giving some chat about whatever takes your fancy, by the time the person enters the vouchers they won't know where they are 8 packs or a 4 packs you've got tucked away in your trolley.:money:
and more to the point they probably won't care either

In reply to the question about the biggest supermarket, I believe the new Arena Tesco in Coventry is now the biggest in Europe. It is next to the new Ricoh Arena. I have been there and it is certainly enormous. I found a few misprices too!0

Got a nice pack of organic chicken free on Saturday from Tesco Loughborough.
The actual price on the packet was correct, but the price per kg and price per pound had been switched round. So it said 2.99 per kg and 6.?? per pound.
So I bought it and took it to customer services and said according to the price per kg I was expecting the 500g pack of chicken thighs to cost £150, not £3.29 that I had paid.
I thought it was a bit cheeky, but had nothing to lose - and.... they paid it !!
Thanks everyone for this inspirational thread :-)

Mr T's refund policy is that you are entitled to a refund for the product if it is returned in its original state within 28 days. Have checked this with HQ with regard to entertainment also, and the person confirmed this to be the case after consulting policy manuals. Obviously if the CD & DVD is sold unwrapped (as some are), then you may get more of an issue than if it where sealed, but in both cases you are entitled to the refund. :cool:0 -

It certainly isnt the largest in Europe. Dont forget that the coventry one has a mall thats why it looks bigger than normal.0 -

Was in the Walsgrave one tonight..... thought I'd found a few misprices on the DVDs - Scissor Sisters was priced at both £9.97 and £9.99 (different stickers) but scanned at £9.97. Same for AC/DC which was £14.97 and £15.97.
Used a temporary clubacrd but did NOT get a 150 point coupon. They did let me use £12 in coupons though (normally they say 10%). Bought a big birthday cake reduced from £7.99 to 16p (this particular store is really good for reductions).

Gave the new Mr Ts in Burscough a visit on Sunday, nice store, unfortunately the staff must all be on the ball as only 1 misprice visible and that was, and probably still is, the cheeses marked 1.17 or buy three for £3.00. sel but price marked on pack 1.19, only buy 2 though or the £3.00 will kick in. lol.0

Hi am new here so instead of being shiny am bit rusty in starting saving. I just moved to this dark corner called Sheffield and it doesn't seem to have anything worth being excited about. Envy you guys who can enjoy some nice or nasty conversations or arguements with CS to add a bit excitement to the daily routine. Wonder if anyone who knows my area better could give a tip or too - for free of course to keep the spirit of our forum. Cheers0

Sorry it's off topic redfox, but --Tony-- started a thread about supermarket size here
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=97703
so maybe best to continue the debate there?
PS: I thought they all said size didn't matter? Obviously does to some of us. As long as they adhere to their policy, big or small, I'm happy!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
