    I've been Money Tipped!
The price check scanner at the local T's today had a big out of order sign loosely taped over it. I lifted up the sign and it looked like it was in perfect working order to me.

i used some 5 pound sainsburys coupons on my self scan shop, i then had 4 assistants come over to check the vouchers, the assistant told me there policy was to only take 1/3 off in vouchers and i had just gone over that, so she had to void one voucher, she was very nice about it but i felt like a criminal, i am sure they will be watching me from now on.
    Another day another R&R

I was wondering...you know all the Boots pink coupons you get when you sign up for the Parenting Club i.e £1 off Avent Cup, 50p of Cow and Gate etc...

...well would they scan at the Tesco self scan?

Before I discovered self scanning at Tesco, I took the Boots Pink Coupons to Asda. C/S hummed and heyed about it and then rejected them, saying that although they stocked most of the coupon products, it was related to a Boots Promotional / Loyalty card.

Fair enough I suppose, but wonder if I could Tesco self scan. Hmm?

I can confirm Ben500 is correct on this matter, happened to me on some potatoes a while ago, CS gave me full refund and the item, they had scanned the wrong sticker, had two reduced sticker on them, one at 70p the other at 20p or something like that. Did not even have to ask for it, only noticed couple of days later aswell.

I can also confirm this. I was double charged for a bubble gun, went to CS desk and got a refund for the 2 and was able to keep the item. The CS girl was more than friendly and explained that this is Tesco policy.

Honestly don't think it's a definitive either way. Tesco appear to have said one thing to one person, something to someone else. So if it happens to you, just see what CS say in that store I guess.

Seeing as they have no clear policy they adhere to on coupons, the above R + R grey area doesn't surprise me.

I think the Tesco Extra in Newcastle is the one they claim to be their largest, so can't imagine there are many bigger than that from any other chain. But I have been in some pretty big Asdas though - one in Bristol is pretty huge.

Didn't know where to put this, so thought here would be a good start.

I've just been to my local Tesco, where I was told that they've had an email from HO, re Joeys.

Turned out it was re Star Wars coupons (?), but the cashier thought these were probably the same kind of thing and that they wouldn't accept it. However, she called over a CS person, who said they'd accept it on this occasion, but they are awaiting clarification from HO.

Aaaargh!!!! I guess my entire family's going to be getting Joey boxed sets for Christmas (not to mention Fitnesse for Christmas dinner!!)!!

What is stopping us buying the Joey boxed set, using the voucher, then returning the dvd?

I was thinking the same thing today.... my local tesco has imposed a 10% limit which IMO is a bit low. I was thinking more about the Quattro blades though as they will probably insist I buy the 8 packs not more 4 packs :).

You should be free to return goods ....and if you were to do it the next day they couldn't dig out the coupons you used  ....so would they give you a voucher? That'd do. Tis a bit sly though..... but if Mr T will keep moving the goalposts :p
