And Ben500 has once again made foolish comments, since I was shopping at Tesco long before I visited MSE, and I'm certainly no shoplifter!

Good to know one store won't be overcharging its customers as we've done your hunting for you!
Very well said Bylromarha.
Wasn't sure how/where to post these latest faux amis as they are NOT misprices, but can so appear. Be warned.
Last night, Cambs - Newmarket Road:
Lynda La Plante novel, shelf 2.96,sticker on book 2.97 BUT scans 2.96
Planet of the Apes-shelf/scan 6.97, but sticker 9.97
Nelly CD shelf and scan 8.97, sticker 9.97
REM CD shelf and scan 6.97, sticker 9.77
The Wild Ones(Brando DVD)shelf and scan 5.97, sticker 7.97
Best of Stone Roses. shelf and scan 8.97,sticker 9.97
Kelly's Heroes, competely unpriced and wouldn't scan.
Kippers with butter - pack 68p,shelf and scan 58
Smoked salmon 100g, pack 1.88, shelf and scan 1.63.
Greatest difficulty, as others have noted, is price-checking before check-out if scanner won't work-helpful checkout lady was a boon.
Further - MANY, MANY items in whole sections lacked ANY shelf prices, as if removed en bloc. Hardback books were in stream-of-consciousness format, all but two stacked above unrelated shelf edging. In turn, most of this had no books to match.
Managed first steak though(BPBV sirloin) - last 10.43 per k mixed in with current 10.38 per k.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Read the title of this thread very carefully - the big clue is the word 'discussion'. You may find the Oxford English dictionary useful, since you appear not to know what this word means. (As well as not understanding the correct use of punctuation).
A discussion might be rather boring if everyone agreed 100% with every opinion raised.0 -

Out of curiosity, if you purchased any of the items did you go to customer service and report that you had been under-charged? Somehow I doubt it!0 -
I have become convinced that the overcharging in Mr T stores is as a direct result of the policies of the company. They have had some problems, worse than their competitors, for years, and many TS Depts are aware of this. And since they have grown so huge, so have the pricing problems.
I have previously related on here about how the major companies need systems in place to show "reasonable precautions & due diligence" in their defences against price prosecutions. I am now convinced that these paper trail systems, along with computer systems, have become so unwieldy that they are incapable of being operated properly without an army of staff to do it in each store.
The cost implications of taking on these staff are immense. You cannot get people of the calibre required for £5 an hour! So the system exists, but doesn't work. There is enough doubt to avoid most TS prosecutions. TS Depts are reluctant to risk scarce resources taking on Mr T so they just issue an informal warning in most cases. And Mr T saves millions in legal fees, as well as staff costs. The cost of refunding a few MSE price watchers is small beer in comparison. It is simply a cost/benefit analysis.0 -

In fact ampersand wouldn't have been under-charged as he/she would have been charged the lower of two prices displayed, which is correct.0 -

Tesco cannot stop an employees right to freedom of speech!
Spa's opening post to this thread stated that she works for Tesco and her role in the company. She went on to post what she called opinions and facts. When she started posting "facts" about Tesco, she was posting on behalf of her company without authorisation. Tesco does not want its employees posting information about how they work for all and sundry to read.
Oh, and as for Tesco not being able to stop an employee's right to freedom of speech; posting confidential information on the working practices of a company in your capacity as an employee can lead to termination of your contract for breach of confidentiality. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Wallace - any largesse is shared with others(like myself) on minimal(not indebted) budgets and brings joy and levity into Life. Suitable items go to the Charity where I volunteer. Equally my(first attempt) prolific runner beans and madly burgeoning tomatoes are also shared. There is pleasure in ALL of this.
This site, found when I heard the tail end of an R4 reference to Saynoto0870-has wonderfully altered the parameters and I bless and thank ALL who contribute positively to it.
Saw another shopper with many reduced items in trolley and he soon wrote down the site name and was going home to subscribe.
Sorry this is long, but some of the personal 'edge' in contributions here has taken me aback.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:
