I don't treat them with disregard. I appreciate everything they have done for me, however I think a time has come that I now need to move on and do something different with my life.
Yes, I critercise Tesco for their workings, but I am far far ffffaaaaar from the people I work with on a daily basis who can happily sit on a checkout and slate Tesco to the dogs to a customer.
I have bad days, and I have days when I really feel unappreciated, unsupported and overworked. One of them would be today.
I was left on my OWN completely to run 43 checkouts, organise staff breaks, deal with 'red lights' and calls (for product exchanges, not on files, barcodes missing and what not) for a long period of time.
During which, I had queues of 3-5 people at each checkout, and customers complaining to me that Tesco advertise that 'one in front rubbish', and what am I doing about it? My answer - I have no staff to work with, and I have everyone till trained on a till, except me.
Now tell me, put in that position, that you'd love the place and not critercise its downfalls and inability to support staff where needed.Yeah, I'm getting a divorce soon though. It's just not working out. Who is filing for divorce as you put it? You or Mr T?
Me. I told my Section Manager today, and the CSM yesterday. I explained why, and said that I want to move away from the stress and panic into something else. My store no longer offers any career path that I want to take, and that would mean moving away from home to stay with Tesco and continue what I want to do, or find another job.Are you sure you are not being pushed?
I am more than 300% positive. I still have my job, and both my SEM and CSM were shocked to find that I'm feeling the way I am. But on the flipside, I also learnt that I'm not the only one in this nearly created 'team leader' role that is unhappy.
The team leader creation is a brand new structure change to Tesco, and in some areas its going great - but others it is really not going so well, and I apparently seem to be in one of those areas.I am sorry but your attitude does not appear to be the best for an supposed team leader in customer service!!!
My attitude is great, and thats for you to believe, and me to know. If my attitude wasn't that great as you seem to think, I wouldn't have the job, simple as that. I went through 2 years of profile building instore, and I am a very well known and respected character amongst 850 staff. I also sat through an intensive interview looking at my committment, drive, enthusiasm, people skills and other stuff to get this job.
So, to summarise - Tesco, like every other employer in this world, lets some people down. It has its lows, and its highs - and *I* am choosing to move on from Tesco as they no longer satisfy my needs for my future career path.Yes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. Exactly what it says on the tin. Share a Smile, Know Your Stuff, and Show You Care - all living service values that I am trained to deliver as a firelighterYes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. Whoops - noticed gone majorly off topic. Sorry
If anyone wants to continue the discussion about Tesco with me, take it up in PM.
Otherwise I'll shut up and start talking about misprices again...
So, where did I put that list of reported products from work that are incorrectly priced...Yes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. You must be one strong lady if you have managed to lift it let alone carry it back home :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Do you have a van (company issue of course) for the carriage of such a large item. :rotfl: I'd also be on the blower to health and safety regarding heavy lifting in the workplace.:rotfl:
Might be able to get a pay-off in the process of leaving !Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.
EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items.0 -
What happens if you call tesco after not bieng offered an R+R?0
-
Tesco HQ ring the store and ask the store to go ahead and offer the R+R0

hmm I already took a full refund though but didnt keep the item.
I already called up CS and they havent got back to me, i feel like punching them in the face for not following their own policy,
I was accused of bieng a non genuine customer - !!!!!!?0 -
OOeer Joel seems like you've thrown yourself to the lions a bit by stepping into this forum!
I hope you get your job in IT... it's always nice to change career and learn new skills. I can't say I envy you working in Tesco's...it's bad enough shopping there! LOL.
All the best with everything :beer:0 -
What on Earth is a non-genuine customer?
If you have bought an item you are a customer. If you were overcharged on any item then you will be refunded on that item and get to keep it. That's of course assuming you notice!
I had a new overcharge rule stated to me in Bedford last week!
Sir, You haven't left the premises with the overcharged goods so the best we can do for you is to refund you what you have been overcharged!
But I have left and come back in, the rest of the shopping is in the car, and I've come back in with the mispriced goods.
That's not left the premises sir, it's still Tesco property!
Okay yes you're right but that is not Tesco' policy. Can I either take your name and I'll contact HO in the morning or you can call your manager to speak to me!
So she went to the phone in a huff and called a manager.
The manager was completely different and he came with me to the shelves then ordered the refund stating to the CS staff that this is company policy!
I asked him to politely, but firmly, explain this to the original lady that had, by now, dissapeared!
So before getting your refund make sure you drive out of the car park, around the roundabout and then back in, so that you have left the premises! lol.Keep SmilingSite member number 24

What a load of balls. The senior manager wouldnt give me her name either,
This morning I called up tesco and they gave me a load of crap that I hadnt been overcharged because if the price on the sel is what you get charged, its not an overprice.0
